Our waiter was very attentive, the restaurant was very nice but the food was nothing to rave about, it was fine.
Our server was amazing AND she made the BEST Caesar. (Irene?)
Kate Stevens was performing and it was a really great atmosphere.
Very disappointed in the food quality and options. Some meals were cold. Went for Sunday brunch but had very few options. Not the experience we have had in years past
Evening out to enjoy the Christmas ambiance at the Hyatt. Great food (steaks) and great service.
It was fine. Nothing crazy good or bad, just a nice brunch. Not too many brunch options to choose from.
I met a friend here before a CPO concert, thinking it would be the Thomson's we had been to before the pandemic. As soon as I walked in I knew things had changed immensely. The decor was drab and looked like chairs and tables had been sitting in a basement for years. The server was lovely and caring and as prompt as she could be. I ordered a mushroom burger sans bun with salad. The menu has changed substantially with sandwiches and burgers taking center stage. The burger was dry, being overcooked. The salad was okay until I found a foreign object from someone's head on the fourth bite. My friend ordered fish & chips and said they were over battered and greasy.
I left hungry and hugely disappointed, remembering past Sunday brunches and delicious desserts and cocktails post concerts in the past. The server was the only saving grace of the evening.
The ambiance was very welcoming, the service great, the food well prepared, delicious and did not keep us waiting. A very good menu and we couldn't have asked for more! Definitely will put Thomsons Kitchen and Bar on the top of our list for places to enjoy a meal!!
Had the Sunday brunch for two, which seemed pricey until you see the heaps of gourmet courses that are plated and served: A large spinach and green salad, a tray of fresh pastries still warm from the oven, a plate of sliced fresh fruit, dinner buns, roast beef with potatoes and brazed veggies of various kinds, plus bottomless coffee and orange juice, and several lemon tarts and cheesecake pieces for dessert. Server was so great and attentive, immediately offered to bring a takeout box (knowing so much food would be served), and at the end sent us each out with a to-go coffee. The food quality was top notch, the whole experience was super.
The ambience is lovely and the staff were so kind and friendly. They were always around when we needed them. Muscles were plump and juicy!
We found the food to be dull, lacked imagination and of mediocre quality. A veggie burger, hamburger and salad bowl - the food, presentation and flavour were nothing like we were used to having in Thompson's. Admittedly there were very few patrons in, even though Theatre Calgary's matinee was about to happen. I found the surcharge for the ceasar salads with the burgers odd. The piece of salmon I ordered with the salad bowl was not well cooked. I could determine no seasoning of anykind on the salmon.
The mushroom ravioli with salmon was delicious. The cocktails are also really nice.

Brunch was great. Amazing food, wonderful service! I had the eggs Benedict - the hollandaise was sooooo good. The potatoes with the Brussel Sprouts are delicious :) Service was great!
Thomsons is one of my favourite spots for lunch meetings on weekdays. The staff are prompt, friendly, and attentive. The decor is modern, the booths are comfortable, and the ambience is relaxed. Food is excellent too. I love the mushroom ravioli with salmon. I highly recommend visiting Thomsons!
We decided to try Thompson's for Brunch. We ate inside although patio is also an option. The waiter was excellent and his "first day" but obviously not his first day as a waiter.
Food was very good. They do not have a Buffet but brunch menu and an all inclusive choice that is much like the choices on a buffet but fresh and hot. I had the egg benedict special with shortribs and spinach and it was excellent. My husband had the beef brunch and it was amazing. four different hot pastries, fresh fruit and a full salad, then a hot main meal of a generous portion of thin slices of roast striploin in gravy, potato side dish and roasted peppers. Coffee and juice was included in his roast brunch and a dessert that he took with him to savour later.
Other traditional brunch options were available.
We reserved a table for 4, for "Sunday Brunch". There was no brunch, just a line item on the menu.
The staff were uninterested in serving, and the food was poor quality. Very disappointing.
We will tell everyone we know to avoid this establishment.
I would provide more detail, but what would be the point. If they don't care about their customers, why would they care about a review?
Our kids are normally not adventurous when it comes to food but they particularly enjoyed their meal!

We enjoyed our Valentine's dinner special. Unfortunately due to Covid-19, the service was slower than usual, but understandable with the extra care taken for safety. My first entree was cool to cold, so it was returned and definitely better. Not sure if it was kept under a warming lamp before it was served. The meal itself was very good.
Went here for valentines dinner, and was excited to try some of their seasonal menu items. However on valentines, was provided with a single three course meal option. This was definitely a miss I think to only provide one choice of dish per course for customers to eat.
I mean, it all sounded tasty, and we were expecting a good meal because our tartar starter was delicious. However, the tuna was incredibly bland, the steak was more rare than medium rare. Which for the price we payed of 130$ before drinks and tip, I was hoping the steak would be at least cooked correctly.
The sauce on the steak was bitter, everything was warm and verging on the edge of becoming cold, carrots were still crunchy... The potatoes I will say, tasted good but again were cold :/ the dessert was good, but I mean dessert is a given.
I think we were highly disappointed only due to the fact that we paid an incredibly high price for a meal that was lacking so deeply in quality.
Our server, was fantastic and he did apologize for the issues we encountered and for that I do appreciate.
Overall, maybe I’d give it another shot with other menu items. I’ve heard the breakfast is good, however I wouldn’t recommend spending the money here for a nice dinner, the quality will just not match.
Nobody was checking people in at the entrance, some people left, I had to go inside to find someone to be given a table (can't seat yourself). The tables were all about 15ft apart, 20ft in the other area, tables were about 4ft wide, sterile, weird atmosphere and I wanted to leave but other places were all full and it was -30 outside. No cocktail menu and a food menu with about 8 things on it, had an appetiser to share and it was unpleasant. Our waiter was great but I would never go back to this place, ever.
Valentines meal special was excellent. Tuna appie so delicious as was beef tartare. The filet mignon was perfect as were the prawns. They also served with a fantastic potatoe gratin- yummy. The dessert amazing. Loved it all.
We did Home Take Away and I think it was one of the best Pickups we've had. Food, packaging, service was all outstanding.

My friends and I were pleasantly surprised by Thomson’s, as it was our first time.The Thanksgiving 2020 menu looked amazing online and tested even better! The roasted Brussel Sprouts and Yams were my faves but honestly all the food was top notch. The service was very friendly, fast and courteous. We had no worries at all about social distancing, as Thomson’s was right on top of the AHS guidelines. Overall this was an awesome and memorable experience.
The food was amazing, the drinks were on point & our service was outstanding. A really small menu which was a bit tough for us would have preferred more options but our overall experience was wonderful.
We loved it! A great place to celebrate our son’s birthday.
We’ll be back next time we’re in Calgary
Great environment for senior with limited mobility birthday
We reserved and were greeted with a beautiful table with large comfortable arm chairs in a good location. Our server immediately greeted us and asked if we wanted coffee and/or juice and had both in sealed pots to pour right away which was much needed at 7:30am
We had breakfast Eggs Benny and Avocado Toast which were delicious. Our server even asked if I wanted my tea steeped when I order it which most restaurants do not ask.
