   We arrived 15mins late, but already rang the pub to advise we were delayed because of an accident. We were served quite quickly, which was good. But as soon as we finished our meal, our plates were taken away & as we did not want a pudding we were presented with the the bill. Then a waitress came up expecting us to pay the bill. I asked if we could have some time, as we had just finished our meal & were still drinking. Although the meal & service was very good, we felt rushed as we had only been there 35mins, including eating our meal. We understand that it was the Easter weekend, but that slightly spoiled our experience.

   I’ve had a light lunch in a Friday at the William Bray and arranged to meet friends from London for a local walk and finish off with Sunday lunch. I realised that my recommendation was based on limited experience of this pub but it was excellent before. I needn’t have worried as it was absolutely excellent. The four of us had short ribs of beef and 2 portions of cauliflower cheese to share. It was absolutely delicious, cooked fresh from local ingredients and it’s the only time I’ve been able to say that the cauliflower cheese was as good as my late Mum used to cook. Our friends from London enjoy good food and were very impressed. Service was a great combination of friendly and professional. Highly recommended.

   Lovely pub with a nice tucked away pub garden flooded in sunlight. The food cane super quick and was absolutely delicious. The service was impeccable and they were very kind to offer our dogs a bowl of water. Would highly recommend!

   Lovely village pub in Shere with a nice atmosphere. Delicious Sunday roast. Friendly staff.

   We did not eat here as everything we wanted they did not have. They had no Pinot Grigio, offered us another wine but was much more expensive. Wanted steak pie & seabass which they did not have either. Very limited menus so disappointing and we went elsewhere.

   Great local pub in Shere with a huge following,always busy but our waitress went out of her way to look after us.Fantastic roasts and vegetarian options and the best sticky toffee pudding I’ve ever had.Outdoor seating too but we went for inside as it was still a bit chilly.Cannot wait to go back.

   Probably the best Sunday roast that I have ever had - very tasty indeed. Service was very good and friendly, but became slightly slow at about 1.30 when it was very busy and tables were being changed over. Background music was not ideal as it could not be heard properly, except for the beat a lot of the time.

   The food was excellent. The service was slow but the staff were friendly and the ambience was good. Definitively worth a visit
