   Still the best restaurant in town in my opinion. Ambiance is nice, waitstaff is solicitous, and all the dishes I have had there have been designed and prepared superbly. Not the usual preparations, but never veering over into “weird taste combos for the sole purpose of being different”. Tasted one of my wife’s elk tenderloins last night, and it was the best I had ever tasted in this town over the last 27 years, which covers a lot of restaurants. As far as value is concerned, it’s perhaps not inexpensive, depending on one’s outlook, but the quality seems unmatched at the price. Well worth it.

   We had an excellent dinner the food was fantastic! The best meal and service we had in Jackson. The service was excellent, very attentive but not intrusive. Our server was extremely knowledgeable of the food preparation, had great recommendations and fun to interact with. Highly recommend.

    If a memorable dinner and special evening at the Whistling Grizzly is absent from your plans then Jackson Hole hasn’t been fully experienced. Life is a short and special occasion….so let this amazing staff top it off for you. As Jack Nicholson would say, THIS is as good as it gets!

    For a small restaurant, the Whistling Grizzly delivers big on its food offerings. Each item we had was exquisite - the beef kabob appetizer, lamb entree, and carrot cake dessert are worth mentioning. Unfortunately the excellence of the food was not matched by the same level of service - which was often inattentive as there were only 2 waiters serving the entire room. The food was overall excellent, and the hope is that the service issues can get addressed so that the Whistling Grizzly can truly shine. We would come back to see if that has happened.

    This was our 2nd visit and again AWESOME. I had the wedge salad, split with another EXCELLENT best I’ve had in Valley. Followed by Elk Tenderloin FABULOUS. Your sauces are amazing. The Char was ordered by 2 they raved, the Pork They loved, again the sauce extraordinary, and the Trout. Really perfect. The trout spread was great and enough for table of 6. I didn’t get enough of the Elk Tartare to comment. GREAT DINNER, fabulous service. Best kept secret in Jackson. I’m a life long resident, I have great appreciation for fine dining in Teton County!!!!!!

    Delicious food and great service! The elk loin, lamb shank, and ribeye were perfection. Only complaint is that the Shasta Tonic they use for their drinks is awful, so they should switch to a better brand. The tonic ruined the Great Gray Gin & tonic. We also had breakfast here, which was yummy.

    The cozy atmosphere was perfect for our family dinner. The wait staff was very attentive and friendly and it was our favorite meal of the trip! You’re going to pay a lot wherever you eat in Jackson so you might as well make sure you love your meal!

    Good start. Small quaint place. Quiet courteous staff. I ordered the trout dip and lamb shank. Trout dip was creamy cheesy and savory.  Lamb shank is a very well composed dish. The sides of Farro risotto and sweet potatoes really bring the taste of the lamb. By far one of the better dishes in Jackson. Ended with the Panna cotta and that did not disappoint.
