If you desire an outstanding dining experience, the Whistling Grizzly is a must not miss. From the warm welcome to spectacular service you will have no doubts as to why this is rated high on the lists. The menu and wine list are highly curated to pair beautifully with melt-in-your-mouth flavors and textures. We had the Elk and the Trout and highly recommend trying the many offerings.

First dinner at this restaurant and all six of us were very happy with our meals. We liked the quiet atmosphere as we could all talk and hear each other. The food was delicious...appetizer shrimp was a huge surprise! We were celebrating our anniversary and a birthday and most restaurants in town give a free dessert...none here:) Excellent service. Very friendly staff. We will dine there again!!

The food was some of the best we've had. Cocktails were perfect and our server was charming knowledgeable and attentive. For a small hotel restaurant The Whistling Grizzly was a Stand Out!

Perfect restaurant for romantic dinner. Staff very knowledgeable about food and wine they’re serving, including ingredients, and way of preparation . All dishes we’ve ordered were delicious 10/10. Very good experience for us.

This place is a hidden gem in Jackson! If you have not already enjoyed a meal here, I highly suggest you do so and you will quickly see what you have been missing! I am a huge foodie and thoroughly enjoyed everything! The next time we are in town, we will definitely be back!

This is a good reason to stay at the hotel. The small dining room offers a select menu of choices that we found excellent. The service was friendly, helpful and efficient. We will definitely eat there again.

We checked in at the Wyoming Inn after driving 450 miles from Glenwood Springs, cleaned up, changed and went down to the Whistling Grizzly. We had a 7:30 reservation (Recommended) and showed up a little early so we had a cocktail before being seated. Our server had a French-sounding accent so I asked and he told me his name was Jean Paul and he was from Corsica. He is a fantastic server and he helped us with our wine selection. My wife had the Tresh Trout and I love wild game especially Venison and Elk so I had the Elk Loin. Both dishes were excellent! The deserts were also very good. The hotel is also very nice and comfortable. We were upgraded from a Deluxe King to a King Sweet and it's extremely roomy and very well layout. I highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant!

Our server was fantastic, very friendly and attentive. This was our first stop on our vacation and I thought the prices were a bit high. I am glad I reviewed on my last day because all the Jackson restaurant prices are high. The food was amazing. We had the trout and the grouper.

Service is amazing, this is our third visit and the team here has consistently set this restaurant's service apart from most in the area. The food is delicious, well designed menu. The Elk Tartare is a must try, and I don't think we've regretted a decision yet.

While the food was good, our server was rude to the guest with me. My guest is not from this country and doesn't speak good English. I tried to help when ordering food, but the server seemed frustrated and dismissed him for the rest of the meal. The other server with an accent, was amazing, by the way, and helped my guest.

Great final night dinner for our trip to Yellowstone and the Tetons. We especially enjoyed the smoked trout dip, the elk tenderloin and the carrot case. Highly recommend this restaurant.

The food and service were top notch at the Whistling Grizzly. Three members of our party split the Tomahawk cut of bison, and raved about it. I had the trout which was also perfectly prepared. I appreciated the flexibility in ordering an alternate side dish since I am avoiding carbs. The fifth member of our party had the steak, also perfectly prepared! Surprisingly, the wine we enjoyed was reasonably priced, a rarity in the Jackson area. Unlike other restaurants in the area, this one was worthy of the expensive menu. Our server was very knowledgeable and pleasant. We would return to the Whistling Grizzly next time we are in the area.

This is not a fast-food place, or low end place to eat. But if you want to go to a place that is relaxing and has good food this is where you should go. Expect to pay what's it's worth. We had a wonderful time.

Outstanding as always. This is I believe the fifth time we've eaten there this year and it's become our new go to place for special occasions as well as when visitors are in town. Looking forward to seeing how the menu changes as we move into fall. I consider it one of the best restaurants in town.

I would have most likely given 5 stars if we hadn't waited at the hostess station for 10 minutes without anyone acknowledging us (we actually had to go into the restaurant to find someone to help us. Once we got seated the staff was awesome, the food delicious and the atmosphere comfortable. This is not a fancy restaurant (it is in a hotel) but the quality of the food and the staff was just like one. I would recommend.
