The Wheel focuses on American cuisine brimming with locally sourced ingredients in an industrial chic, waterfront setting.

Drawing on fresh ingredients from over 40 local farmers, fishermen and purveyors, the restaurant features the best of what’s in season with an ever-changing menu plus produce grown and harvested right from The Village’s rooftop garden. At the center of its open kitchen lies a hearth oven used to roast meats, fish and vegetables, as well as to bake Neapolitan-style pizzas.

I travel and experience different restaurants every weekend exploring the experience of new places . This restaurant is definitely only visibly pleasing. We were seated by 820pm but didn’t get our entire till almost 10pm. My meal was cold bland and lacked the tuna I was overpriced for. It’s not a place I want to return to unfortunately.

We had a wonderful early Father's Day brunch on the weekend. The food was incredible, safe for celiac diner and the service was fabulous! We will be back!

Service is my focus here. The greeting at the front door was enthusiastic and we were asked if we preferred outside seating and they made space for us immediately. Then our waiter-she was great! She was attentive and funny. My parents were on a restricted diet and she made sure they got exactly the right order. I made one small request on my order which most restaurants still get wrong, but it was perfect. Really great attention to detail across the board and it made for a really great experience. As for the food - we loved their Bloody Mary's. In particular my short rib hash with spicy hollandaise and my son's spicy chicken sandwich were standouts.

Visited the Wheel Restaurant in Stamford, CT and overall had a very pleasant experience. The atmosphere is cozy and warm—perfect for a relaxed evening. We had hoped to sit outside, but unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate. On a nice day, the outdoor area would definitely offer a great vibe. Inside, it was a bit noisy, and while the ambiance was welcoming, the service left something to be desired. Our server wasn’t particularly attentive, which detracted a bit from the overall experience. The menu is eclectic and interesting, with a solid beer selection ranging from pilsners to a variety of IPAs. We tried the mussels in coconut milk, which was a daily special—absolutely fabulous. The East Coast oysters were very good as well. My wife had the Pan Seared Scallops with creamed corn, Yukon potatoes, summer squash, and tomato jam—she loved it. I went with the Lobster Roll (chilled Maine lobster, yuzu aioli, toasted brioche, sea salt fries). It was good, but not great—I would’ve preferred it warm. Is it a bit overpriced? Probably. But the food was mostly strong, and with better service, it could be an excellent spot. Worth checking out, especially on a day when you can enjoy the outdoor seating. Rating 8/10

We ate outside on a lovely night and the vibe was great. Our server was really pleasant but he had so many tables that he wasn’t able to come back and check on us for more drinks, etc. unless we flagged him down. Our tuna tartare app looked really fresh and could have been delicious but it came swimming in a very salty overpowering sauce. Our mussels were meaty and delicious although the sauce was thin. It was flavorful though. They served the broccolini without the peanut sauce. By the time we flagged our waiter down and got the sauce the broccolini was cold. The “sauce” was a huge disappointment. Not a sauce but peanuts in an oily something. We should have eaten the broccolini without it as it was grilled perfectly. We will try The Wheel again as it is a really cool space and has great potential.

Blasting club music. Not sure who is selecting the music but the obnoxiously loud club music is just not the vibe. It’s a nice spot, with families and next to the water. The crowd they are wanting to attract is not going to start doing bottle service and dancing on tables. Read the room and change the music to match the crowd coming in.

The hostess was absolutely amazing and super friendly, we worked with him on waiting for our table. We got drinks in the meantime that was all great, but the service was not good. Took forever to get our drinks, took forever to get our food and the waiter didn’t really checked in on us .
