So it was Thanksgiving and we went for our first experience, we ordered the Thanksgiving meals, so not off the normal menu, and whilst my wife's was excellent, mine was luke warm in places.
The rest of the experience was excellent, server was awesome, all except my.main was excellent and the room/ building was above my expectations. We will revisit as it was so close to a 5 star experience, but thats what we expected, especially at the prices.
Marquez was an excellent waiter, and the live music on the water was great.
Excellent food and service. Will come back but looks booked out the whole weekend of Thanksgiving! Too popular!
Amazing seating area outdoor
The fish and chips were absolutely amazing. Susanna our waitress was truly special - thank you!
Eating at the Wharf restaurant was a very pleasant experience. The service was very professional and pleasant. The food was excellent and reasonably priced for the area. The carb stew was outstanding.
Awesome dinner experience! 10/10 would recommend. We went at sunset it was absolutely beautiful view. Live music was so much fun ! The music was at the perfect volume, loud enough to creat a fun vibe but not too loud where dinner conversation was difficult. Staff was very friendly and created a covid safe environment. The food was the best we had on the island during our trip.
On a trip!
Really good spot. Had better fish the day before in St Mary's, and I've had better service, yet, overall, it was a good experience and is do it again.
We really had a great trip to Jekyll Island, and The Wharf was a the perfect end to the evening. The seafood and service were great!
Came for the view and dinner both exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend. The added treat....we were pleased to listed to incredible music on the deck!
Beautiful location on the water facing west for great sunset views. Very good staff who didn't rush you at all and wore masks at all times. We sat to eat outdoors on their deck at 5 and stayed until the sun set! They had a singer who was very good and played music we enjoyed. The seafood we ordered was prepared nicely with generous portions. A bit pricey, but it is a resort area, so nothing out of the ordinary. Casual attire was fine. Absolutely loved the Wharf and the entire area.
Location is wonderful. Food was just okay. Hubby got the fish and chips and it was just okay. I got shrimp and scallops that needed to be cooked more.
This has a lovely view as we sat in the outside area. It took a while to get service but once we got going it was fairly good.. some food came out cold (that should been been hot).. no manager came about that. Overall, we thought the food was good.
View and live music was fantastic!
Marques was wonderful. The food was delicious! Cannot wait to go back again and again! Yes
Wonderful Wednesday evening on the outdoor patio, which featured 2 gentlemen playing live music. Nice view of the Jekyll River and Brunswick at night.
Burgers are excellent!
Nice selection of some local craft brews too.
Warm, friendly service.
Look forward to our next trip back to the Jekyll Island Club Hotel.
It was good but a little overpriced for what it was
Great service! Celebrated my mom's birthday here and our server Marchez surprised her (and us) with a complimentary chocolate molten cake with ice cream and in addition, came out singing happy birthday with the perfect R&B voice! That was awesome! He was also a very attentive server! The food was good as well. Seafood is fresh, nicely seasoned. Live music welcomed us into the restaurant as it was playing on the patio. We heard the Wharf was a great place to see the sunset, but our reservation was past that time. I'm sure the views are beautiful in the day time however being on the river. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for Jekyll Island visitors!
Excellence service and delicious food. Beautiful views of the sunset. One of our faves on Jekyll . Protocols in place and followed for Covid 19 concerns.
Food was good- lunch portions were big!
The view is great. The service was outstanding. The food was fine. We wanted to eat outside due to the coronavirus so we arrived at 5:30 and had a drink first. Good idea as the patio quickly filled up. Sunset was gorgeous. An all around good experience.
Food was ok. Fried pickles were great. Shrimp & peal was better at Zachary’s. Dessert was better at the Reserve. Had to make 2 reservations for our party of 5 (2 & 3), yet when they discovered 3 teenagers would be seated together, they amazingly found a way to pull up a 5th chair at a four topper. No option to call & get a live person about this. At first we were disappointed to not have outdoor seating, but while waiting, we were delighted it worked out that way, as the bugs are atrocious! Our server was not very pleasant, seemed to be in a hurry to finish his shift. Being that we were on vacation, I had an emergency call from home over a power outage I had to advise on. That delayed ordering dessert about 5 minutes & wasn’t accepted well by him.
Overall, only average after all the hoopla about getting in.
It was just OK. Disappointed overall with the resorts limited food choices.
Very enjoyable. Excellent service. Great food.
It was nice and the food was good, I had a strawberry daiquiri and it was really good.
The salad was good and the dressing was even better.
We went here for dinner and sat inside because it was a little warm and buggy but still had an awesome view of the sunset. The shrimp and scallops were awesome and the flank steak was way better the expected. We had a reservation and were seated immediately upon walking in the door. Highly recommend this restaurant.
An awesome place for a sunset happy hour or dinner!!!
We had an amazing lunch at the Wharf seated at a table overlooking the St Simons sounds and marsh. The view was fabulous but the food was even better... Perl and eat shrimp, friend pickles, fried green tomatoes with crab salad.... all delicious! Great kids food, too. All at a reasonable price!
Fantastic food enjoyed with a beautiful sunset and fun love music. The service was lovely. Would definitely go back!
As always great food great views great staff easy to make reservations Great Experience
8th time having dinner here over the last few years and will always bust this establishment for our meal
Eric and Terry McCauley
I had the shrimp and scallops and they were cooked to perfection!! The fried pickles were delicious (but way too much for just 2 people). Hubby got the fried fish and fries and said they were delicious as well! We had key lime pie for desert and YUMMM! We will definitely be going back again on our next visit!! Our waiter, Chris, was WONDERFUL!!
Our server Marquez was awesome! Food very good.
Our waitress was fantastic! We went for our anniversary dinner. We were delighted with the food and service.
Seafood was fresh and delicious. Very friendly and quick service. Beautiful views even on a stormy say. Could have had better 6 feet table distancing in the covid era.
Great food and friendly staff. The Jekyll hotel never disappoints! We had an extra special birthday celebration
Everything was excellent except one thing: we were seated next to the loud kitchen.
It is the perfect place to watch the sunset. We had the steamed shrimp appetizer Caesar salad fish and chips and broiled scallops dinner. Everything was well seasoned and well prepared prices were reasonable and the new renovation is a big improvement over Latitude 31. We miss the seafood crepes and the surf, surf And Mo surf but otherwise really liked the new place.
It was a wonderful way to celebrate my husband's 57th birthday. He loved the crab cakes!!
We took a boat ride from Saint Simon's Island to The Wharf. The experience was excellent. The food was good and the service was great. The only downside was the 15.00 gratuity per ticket that we weren't warned about. That's a huge tip for a party of 7 with 4 tickets. Other than that....no complaints!
The Wharf used to be one of the best places to eat on Jekyll Island, but since it has changed ownership, the quality of the food has plummeted. My wife and I went to have a nice dinner with my parents and listen to music on the patio a few days ago and were extremely disappointed with the food. The view of the sunset from the patio was breathtaking, the music was great, and our server was also very good; however, the best meal we had at our table was the fish tacos. My wife ordered the ahi tuna entree medium rare, and the fish was over cooked to the point of being dried out. There was rice on the platter that was crunchy it had been over cooked so badly. The only edible thing on the plate was the veggies. My dad ordered the seafood boil which was so over cooked that the kernels on the small cobs of corn were shriveled and hard. The manager did apologize for the quality of the food and brought out fish tacos in place of the terrible tuna and made it right on the bill, but it’s a big disappointment that the best dish you can get at the Wharf is now fish tacos when it used to be one of the best restaurants on the island. My advice: bring back the raw bar. Until some changes are made, I’d suggest the Beach House, Sunrise Grille, or the Jekyll Island Seafood Company over the Wharf for a quality meal.
