Actually, the bar tender that night was the most engaging, thoughtful, and attentive to our needs. She should be reward. What a beautiful setting and dinner we had.
This is an easy walk from anywhere in town. Good food and good service.
Perfect for bringing a toddler and hanging some space.
Great food and service!
Great service and food
Great food and ambiance.
Great food, friendly staff. All around positive dining experience in Telluride.
We did a Chef's Table with a customized menu that we worked with Chef Jose to create. This is the 2nd time that we have done this and it has exceeded our expectations each time. We have also dined in here several times off the regular menu and it never disappoints.
My family had dinner at The West End Bistro last night. The food was phenomenal as was the service. The ambiance in the restaurant itself is very casual and low key.. it’s almost misleading because the overall experience of dining here is on par with a top tier restaurant. The staff was fabulous and attentive. The filet, scallops, duck and bolognese were all cooked to perfection. The sauces were on point. The couscous was savory and paired perfectly with the duck. Don’t skip the creme brûlée for dessert. Highly recommended!
Dinner was great. They have a special every night that includes a glass of wine. We had the Vodka linguini with salmon and broccolini and it was delicious! The ceasar salad was tasty. It would have been nice to have some bread included with dinner but we left sufficiently full and at a reasonable cost.
Food, service and atmosphere were great.
Great food. Server was out of this world funny and kind! Coming back soon.
great casual and cozy vibe
The best service! We were lucky enough to be able to sit on the couch in front of the fireplace and enjoy our drinks and dinner. Excellent food! Our server was by far the coolest person we’ve come across in Telluride!!
Awesome food, awesome service, we loved it!
Delicious meal at a great value. Very friendly staff. While a little farther west, they will shuttle you to and from the gondola.
Great service and food, a cozy find in telluride!
Good good and great service. Busy Monday night and server handling small dining room snd lobby all alone but did a fabulous job
Amazing staff! Fun to talk with and still have us our privacy in a small restaurant at the beautiful Hotel Telluride. Surf and Turf was delicious and paired well with the wine that was very nice and reasonably priced!
Perfect Valentine’s Day that was the perfect mix of nice date and lowkey
The food was delicious! Our server was great! We will be back!
Nice casual night out. Food was good and our server was great except she was the only one bartending and serving. Way under staffed.
Very delicious, everyone loved it
Pleasantly surprised to find this hidden gem right here in our neighborhood! Will be back for sure. Went in for dinner with my kids very cozy, lots of familiar faces. The whole crew was on their A game. Looking forward to returning
Small bistro in lobby of a small hotel. Disappointed in the ambiance!
Great and great! We stayed in the village and went to get on the gondola at 7 for a 7:30 reservation as the gondola is a 13 minute ride, but waited an hour in line as with covid precautions and traffic it was packed. We called to inform we were late and then a 2nd time that we were really really late. Both times Kaitlyn worked with us and completely understood our dilemma.
We sat at 8pm in the rustic Hotel Telluride where west end bistro is located and was immediately greeted by Kaitlyn. Food, service and ambiance was perfect. This isn’t your uptight fine dining steak house. Our table had the surf & turf and lamb chops. Cooked perfectly and tasted great. Thanks for the lovely evening as we celebrate our Telluride elopement.
This restaurant is a hidden gem. Great little dining room that is quiet, has great food and good service. A weekly special includes main meat or fish, two sides and wine for around $25!
If you filter by steak or steakhouse on Open Table on a Tuesday, it’s one of the only things that shows up. It’s okay, but wouldn’t recommend.
We love the food at West End Bistro--the chef really knows what he's doing. It is a very small place which makes negotiating social distancing a bit of a challenge, but we most recently sat by the open door and felt comfortable. They are also doing carry out and we plan to try that soon. I had the salmon and my husband had the shrimp pesto pasta special--both just superb. The food is as good as any fine dining restaurant in Telluride, and usually at a better price.
We've eaten here 4 times over the past few weeks and each time it's been well executed, consistent and excellent value. It's one of our two favorite, "go to" restaurants in Telluride for delicious food at prices where you don't feel fleeced.
The food was delicious and the service was great! Highly recommend!
We ate at the small bar and made great conversation with the locals. Excellent food. Very tender steak and pork loin
Excellent food, lovely service in a mostly-empty restaurant on an August Friday evening (due to COVID). We started with the calamari appetizer... nice pieces, not breaded, in a bowl of marinara with just the right amount of garlic. The wine list is not large, but it covers the bases. We had a 2018 Argentine Malbec (Zorzal, $44) which was a perfect match for the evening. My partner had the surf and turf; I had the pork roast. Both dishes were excellent; my pork came with sliced sweet potato and broccolini.
Wait staff (Christi) and kitchen staff couldn’t have been nicer. I had the house-made Tiramisu dessert, which was wonderfully creamy and coffee-tasting (as it should be), but my partner does not like coffee at all, and the kitchen staff took pity on her and “created” a dessert on-the-spot for her using custard, blackberries, blueberries and strawberries. Very thoughtful, and the kind of thing that makes you come back to a restaurant!
All in all, a great meal. We’ll be back.
Great friendly staff , very good entree
This place was delish. Pretty sure its the only restaurant in Telluride that you can eat inside.
Our food was delicious and nicely presented. Our server was so sweet and friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
A nice quiet meal.
Great food, good size portions, friendly staff.
Worst service I have ever had! The food is amazing but the service was outwardly hostile to us. Had a 8PM reservation, was seated at 8:30 and did not get the check till after 10am. That was after asking multiple times to order and in the end of the night for the check. When asking to split the bill was told if we wanted to do so we would have to wait till after the waiter cleared the entire restaurant. We were one of 2 tables left at that point. I have never felt so unwelcome at a restaurant.
Amazing food at a very value. Classy ambiance.
Great place for excellent food at a reasonable price
