The Waters Edge at Giovanni’s is an award-winning steak house and event venue. We began more than 35 years ago as one of Stamford and Darien’s premiere Steakhouses, renowned for our Certified Angus Beef® steaks, select premium seafood and Italian specialties.     Haven’t had the chance to eat at this restaurant in about 10 years. It was always a wonderful dining experience. We finally made it back and it was even better than I remember! The cocktails and wine were delicious and the food was spectacular from the garlic bread, appetizers, WEG salad and the entrees! The wait staff were very attentive and the timing of courses was spot on. Hope to be back again soon!!

    Great service. Outstanding food. Porterhouse is amazing. Dinner comes with delicious salad and potatoes and vegetable. Cocktails are fabulous. Ambience great, easy to have conversations and enjoy people you are with. Highly recommend

    The prime rib was excellent in taste and the value was outstanding. The meal included bread, salad, potatoes and vegetables. Our server Douglas was very informative and professional. Both owners came by and chatted. We appreciated their input and hospitality. This family owned restaurant has charm and beats the over priced chain luxury steakhouses.

    I made a reservation in Open Table for my husband’s birthday. I don’t think it was communicated to the staff that it was a birthday dinner, but that was probably an Open Table issue. The restaurant was very busy, nevertheless, the dinner and service were excellent, as always. We had 3 courses, plus dessert and the price/value was amazing. It is very evident that Giovanni’s owners and their staff really take pride in their customers’ experiences. Highly recommend!

    Incredible food! The restaurant is beautiful and the owner Sal came over to meet us! Such a friendly and sweet Owner and staff. He even gave my kids ice cream on him! Can’t recommend this place enough- we will be back!

    WAITER RUSH US WHEN WE WERE ORDERING OUR FOOD, NOT HAPPY WITH HIM. TEMPERATURE WAS VERY COLD IN THE DINING ROOM, HAD TO WEAR MY JACKET FOR THE WHOLE DINNER.

    The Prime Rib is always excellent and prepared to the perfect temp. With the garlic bread and Gorgonzola salad, it’s a great meal.

    Fantastic meal and amazing service. I tend to set the bar lower on holidays because things can get chaotic when restaurants are so busy, but everything was outstanding. Service was spot on and everyone's meal was excellent.

    This restaurant is superb! Wonderful attention, terrific garlic bread and salad with every entree. Our family members all have personal favorites-the prime rib is outstanding, the filet is tender and flavorful, the ribeye and the NY strip are also high on our list.We thoroughly enjoy the food and dining experience every time we go! Once you try it, you will keep coming back.

    Happy Holidays! Always wanted to eat here and we finally did. Food was good not great. I had the NY Strip and my wife had the lobster. The downfall was the service. Very slow and their many tables empty while we ate. I could see if the place was busy maybe my opinion would be better. They did have two parties going on in their banquet rooms. I will return but this time in the summer.

    We celebrated our daughter’s birthday and it was wonderful! The setting, ambiance, and food were superb! JoAnn and Sal are warm and welcoming to all guests. The lobby was lively in the best way. The dining room was lovely and dinner delicious! A bonus was seeing Stamford people we hadn’t seen in awhile. Feels like family. The best place!
