Our experience at Waterfront was great. I will definitely come back
Great but quite expensive. To be expected for the location perhaps, but overall really enjoyed our lunch in the sun there.
Ambiance is lovely; but food is quite ordinary - good, but ordinary. Service is once again a problem. Last night, when my guest's entree arrived, he asked for a glass of Pinot. 15 minutes later, the glass of wine had still not arrived, and our waiter was nowhere to be seen (the restaurant was NOT crowded). So I asked the "water" waiter to please find our waiter and ask what happened to the wine. 5 minutes later the wine finally arrived, with a shallow, not sincere, apology from our waiter. Sheesh!
the service did not meet my expectations. We had the feeling that they wanted to get rid of us from the restaurant quickly
Great view and atmosphere. Friendly staff and good food.
A new favorite place! The outstanding and friendly service started the moment we came in! Greeted with a big smile we were led to our table with a great view of the bay. Our wait person was friendly, explained the specials. Our drinks came and we ordered. The food was tasty and well presented! The manager Kimberly came by and was very kind and personable. Great food, well priced, great staff. Couldn’t ask for a better dining experience!
Your team that removes the plates are very aggressive. They are willing to interrupt conversations and even reached over in front of one guest to grab the small bread plates while he was still eating.
Excellent service and food quality! Location is outstanding.
Wonderful restaurant. Food, presentation and service were outstanding. We had a window table upstairs and the view of the Bay Bridge was so pretty as we watched the afternoon light turn to night.
Very small crab salad for the price. Way too small and way too expensive. Sorry!
I came to the Waterfront because I had been here before and enjoyed the food. We ate outside for lunch at the time. Thought I’d come back and enjoy a dinner date in The City. Waterfront did not disappoint. We sat inside and not only was the atmosphere was great, but the food, the service and the value included. The staff from the hostesses, the bartender, and waiters were all very professional and nice. I’ll be back.
The service was amazing!! The view was awesome!! Great experience!! Definitely will return! 😊
Very good food. On the expensive side so great for a special occasion. Beautiful views.
My fiancé birthday. She wanted the window view, unfortunately I was told it’s already reserved. However, going up the stairs the back view by the bathrooms was wide open. Also special occasion I would think they would give you an option for window view. I know downstairs was open. But thank you to our server for his kindly service he was wonderful.
Our server read the table well without having to ask us very much. He was a pro. The food was excellent and the view of the bridge was epic.
Not worth the price. Food was good, not great. Great views. Not much else.
My husband and I had a lovely lunch at the Waterfront on Valentines Day. We started with cocktails and both had the special petrale sole which was excellent. We had a great table looking out over the water and weren't rushed to order and had a great time. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the restaurant and would highly recommend to anyone who wants a great meal in a wonderful location.
The view was amazing, the service and food could have been a notch better considering the prices. it was a special occasion so that's why we chose the waterfront....
The food was excellent and the view was fabulous
Ok, We've had clam chowder all of the Bay Area...the chowder here was outstanding, interesting and unique. Out other dishes were really good but nothing to unique and different. When we go out we want to have a dishes we probably couldn't make at home, all of the dishes were just ordinary. But you certainly can't beat the atmosphere and location.
A great birthday dinner.
Great view, great food, great service. Thank you!
Overall we really like this restaurant and will definitely be going back. We sat out in the Enclosed patio and enjoyed the view of the Bay and Bay Bridge. We had the calamari appetizer, and both felt the calamari and shrimp were slightly undercooked. My husband had the Mary's Chicken and it was delicious, I had the fish and chips and the first piece was cooked perfectly, crispy coating on the outside and light flaky fish inside, but on the remaining pieces the coating was more thick and spongy instead of crispy. The fish was light and flaky though. For dessert, we had the sticky toffee pudding, and it was amazing. Overall the service was friendly and timely and we had an enjoyable time.
The servers were attentive at first, but forgot part of our order. After inquiring, it did not arrive until we were done with our entrees. If you go, it’s important to ask for a table upstairs rather than outside in the enclosed patio as will be warmer. View is amazing though!
The WOW factor was OVER THE TOP! Amazing food and view!
Good restaurant overall but is aging. Menu changes rarely and nothing exceptional in service or menu choices. They push lobster mashed potatoes and lobster man-n-cheese, but both are greasy and aren’t really that great - but high profit for the restaurant. Beet salad was heaps of lettuce garnish and maybe 1/4 cup beets, not at all something one would call a salad. Not a bad place, but highly overpriced for the aging menu. I think target audience must be tourists who get sucked in by the view and no harm that they never come back. Service Isn’t bad but for the prices it should be better. Water glasses emptied and were never refilled once. Even got the wrong food delivered and then when we pointed it out they took the food to another table after being served to us. Even things as simple as replacing tableware removed with dirty plates after each course was neglected. Again, not terrible but not great either.
Ambiance is great.
Service is good
Great experience! We sat near window with beautiful view of the bay. Only small issue was getting our waters refilled timely. Would definitely recommend and go again, the food was great.
It was cold and a inviting in the coveted patio room. I had to wear coat.
Loved the ambience was elegant and the view was fantastic. We all enjoyed out dishes and would return to enjoy again.
Great place, Great food, and Great service. I love inviting out of states friends to this restaurant, pricey but worth it.
Amazing atmosphere and great service. Our wedding dinner was simply perfect
Came here about three years before this visit and it was better then. The bread was stale. I could probably stop this review there. But wait! There’s more! The bouillabaisse was average to good. The waiter...nice, but his style was a little more suited for an east coast restaurant. I just wasn’t in the mood for that. But the view! I guess that’s why we were there, more than anything.
A little bit cold in the restaurant as it was in the temporary roofed part of the restaurant. Nice view to Bay Bridge.
Had a great lunch of clammy clam chowder and a crab Louie salad with a generous serving of fresh Dungeness crab and an Anchor steam beer, served on a cold but sunny day at one of the Waterfront’s outdoor tables in a glassed-in space along the Embarcadero sidewalk. A classic San Francisco meal with prompt, friendly service, in a scenic location perfect for conversation. What’s more to want?
The waiter was extremely rude, we were celebrating and after 1 bottle of champagne ordered another. As the only female he then looked at the men on the table to confirm the order which I found incredibly humiliating. The waiter Then went to the host who came over and rudely said ‘for everyone’s wellbeing I’m not going to allow another bottle’. It cost over $450 and ruined the celebration.
My husband and I took our teenage daughters here who are quite adventurous diners. The cocktails were too sweet and the pasta and risotto were over the top rich. When we complained about the drink all the waiter did was add more soda.
We wanted to have a nice view and ambience but we were seated right beside the kitchen and outside deck which was drafty and loud.
Not worth the price of food.
The clam chowder was great.
Food was good not great. Had an Old Fashioned cocktail and it was pretty bad. Service was friendly and quick. Generally overpriced for the value.
A little slow on service, food was good, view was great
