Had a great dinner at The Walmer Castle last night with my parents and our dog. We shared starters and had mains — all delicious. The special had sold out by the time we ordered, but the team kindly gave us complimentary desserts, which was a really thoughtful surprise. Warm, friendly service and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Bonus points for being so dog-friendly. Highly recommend :)

My favourite neighbour pub, always a great experience, love the atmosphere, great food and service. Only complaint is that it can be too noisy !

Lovely pub with nice food, a bit pricy though, the cost of the location, probably. Their Sunday menu doesn't include all their standard dishes (e.g. fish and chips), which to some of my party was a bit of a disappointment, they could make that clearer on their website. Otherwise, the staff was very friendly and professional, the roasts were good and the venue looks welcoming and bright. Will go back!

We had the kindest and sweetest waiter named Ryan who made our dining experience really special 🙏🏼 He was very comforting and caring and generally interested in where we are from. We will always remember him 🫶🏼

We had dinner here a year ago and it fabulous. However, we cannot say the same when we had lunch there yesterday. Seriously gone downhill. Food was poor and very overpriced for what we got. Service was abysmal. Every time we ordered drinks, we waited ages for their arrival but they never appeared. Staff had to be reminded repeatedly. Shoddy service and a significant decline in the standard of food.
