   Very disappointed with this afternoon tea. Not worthy of £50pp at a minimum. Completely wrong price point. Quality of the savoury items were poor, sweets a little better but nothing tasty. We could not eat everything and had 6 items left (half of one one persons serving) and we were offered tinfoil to take the items home, some ridiculous reason was given for not being able to offer a box. We declined as sweet items would have been ruined by the time we got home. It was very hot in there and it was not even that sunny outside, they couldn’t leave a bottle of water on the table so you had to constantly ask for your glass to be topped up. Staff were very polite and did the best they could. Very disappointed to be writing such a negative review as we love TWC and we were really looking forward to this. Given other afternoon tea options around the area, would not recommend this one.

   This is a lovely experience, with good food in a beautiful venue. We all had something different-- chicken, a beef pie,and a fancy club sandwich, and shared the delicious cheese plate. Food was excellent. It's a wonderful afternoon to see this beautiful museum and then have lunch or a high tea here. I've brought many groups here over the years. My only complaint is that they always seem slightly understaffed -- the servers are always nice but it is hard to get their attention. That's no reason not to return, though, this is one of my favourite places to bring out of town guests.

   Just horrible and they charged prices like they were a real place of value. Will NEVER go her again. And sad it was my mothers 91 st birthday. Waist of a day.

   on a summer lunchtime the courtyard not too hot and just lovely for after seeing art. great food 4 of us had great lunch thankyou

   We really wanted to try Greyson Perry's afternoon tea. This is our second attempt because we were not served this afternoon tea first time visit; the lady who took us to the table didn't check our booking, so we were given ordinary menu. But this time, the different lady took us to the table, confirming our booking and what we wanted, so we were able to order the afternoon tea. Phew. Even when we asked her to change the table, she did it smoothly, thank you! Also, the waiter who served us, his service was immaculate, kind and friendly. The other waitress was very attentive as well. All and all, we really enjoyed the experience.

   Had the three course lunch. All ingredients were fresh and tasty, a special mention for the sea bass. Great surroundings in the museum atrium. Staff friendly, attentive and each course was well timed after the previous plate.

   The restaurant was understaffed and busy. We had arranged to meet friends for a celebratory meal and had booked a table. There was a queue at reception followed by a long wait to order and the meal just dragged out. When we spoke to a member of staff we were told 3 staff were ill and we were given complimentary coffees in recognition of our complaint. The food was good but we were disappointed overall with our experience.
