   Had the three course lunch. All ingredients were fresh and tasty, a special mention for the sea bass. Great surroundings in the museum atrium. Staff friendly, attentive and each course was well timed after the previous plate.

   The restaurant was understaffed and busy. We had arranged to meet friends for a celebratory meal and had booked a table. There was a queue at reception followed by a long wait to order and the meal just dragged out. When we spoke to a member of staff we were told 3 staff were ill and we were given complimentary coffees in recognition of our complaint. The food was good but we were disappointed overall with our experience.

   We booked at the Wallace Restaurant because we were going to an exhibition there but the food was a complete delight and far surpassed our expectations. Service was very pleasant if a bit slow - but we weren't in a hurry. Totally recommended

   The food was delicious and plenty of it. I was particularly impressed by the staff who were friendly and helpful, without being obsequious. We were also not rushed to free the table when we had finished the meal. I would recommend the restaurant to people and look forward to coming back again.

   Food was very tasty but when it arrived the potatoes especially were cold - actually cold, served on cold plates! Server happily took it back but when it came back it was only slightly warm - I left the potatoes as too cold to enjoy. Dessert was delightful, as were the staff. Overall I would recommend and we will go again

    Table was booked but they weren’t ready. Maitre d’ was irritated by my having a mobility scooter but to be fair she seemed almost alone in doing any work. We were shown to a table not laid for lunch. We waited for a menu and in the end I had to ask for one. The fizzy water eventually arrived the glasses were straight out of the dishwasher and were warm.. We then waited for our food. They arrived with the wrong food. We saw what we thought was our food sitting on the side fortunately it was cold food! My super food salad was tasteless and dull and over priced. I was pleased I’d ordered chips. My friend had the focaccia and said it was too salty. Ironically, when we ask for the bill, it came immediately! We explained why we were not paying the optional service charge. The member of staff was very defensive, but she did offer us free cups of coffee on a future visit. As two of two of us live outside London we declined politely. This poor meal and service was a huge shame. I had been to the Wallace collection dining room previously and had been very impressed. It’s a beautiful setting but this was chaotic. It was very busy as they have a Grayson Perry exhibition on. But no one seem to know what they were supposed to be doing; The food was pretty bad and over-priced. I realised later the provider of catering is Sodexo. I last came across them when I was an inpatient in hospital. After realising they were a caterers, I was not as shocked as I had been. I had wanted to have a lovely lunch with two of my oldest friends, unfortunately this was not to be.
