The Vintage has been fabulous in the past - unfortunately they seem to have lost their focus in the kitchen - improperly cooked meats and poor quality cuts. Used to be under same ownership as Gemmells in Dana Point - Gemmells continues to excel.

We went for dinner and had a great time. It was very cool watching the trains go by on the track adjacent to the dining car which was in an old train. Service was excellent and food very good. Both of our desserts were excellent. It was a Friday night, so it took a while to get through our meal, but we weren't in a rush, so it was OK. Overall a really good experience and we will probably be back even though it is an hour drive (in light traffic).

We have dined here many times over recent years, frequently purchasing Groupon four-course meals. Their whole menu has terrific options and even their limited Groupon menu provides nice choices. I would recommend staying with the meat options as the only bad meal we have had was less than fresh fish on a Thursday evening. Train car seating is terrific fun, and I would recommend the Vintage to anyone who enjoys a well prepared upscale meal.

The filet mignon was fabulous but the venison was so-so. Great presentation. Nice variety of vegetables. This was a late Valentine celebration so it wasn't too crowded. The dessert was great too. I just can't remember the name except it was named after the restaurant and was first on the list. Very light and tasty.

The service and staff were great. The food is another story. We ordered steak medium. It was served blood red. Not only was the steak too red, it was tough. Both steaks were ordered the same. Both were too red and tough. The flavor was great though!

Vintage steakhouse was a huge disappointment from start to finish. Wait time, food quality, time it took to get each course of food out to us, and busing table service were all TERRIBLE.

First, our email-confirmed reservation for 7 was not in their system. I showed the hostess my phone w/ confirmation but it still took her 20 minutes to seat us - seating other people ahead of us. Our waiter was as super nice guy - so that is one big positive. It took forever to get appetizers. Then it took forever to get our main meal. Then it took forever to get our dessert. Service is NOT smooth. The quality of my husband's steak was AWFUL. It was the most gristly sirloin we've ever had at a restaurant and we eat steak out A LOT. The artichoke heart appetizer was not flavorful and small. My salad was hohum. The peanut butter creme brulee dessert was actually quite good, though!
As other tables around us emptied and guests left no restaurant staff ever cleaned up or bused their tables. As we sat there 2 1/2 hours after being seated (OMG - painfully slow service) we looked across the empty dining room at NINE dirty tables with dirty plates, used glasses, soiled napkins all piled on the tables. It was not appealing.
The building itself is cool but the quality of food and execution of service needs MAJOR overhauling. Save your money and go anywhere else but here.

Food was delicious. Weny for the Sunday brunch and was surprised just how wonderful everything was. Service was excellent our server Tony was wonderful as we're all the other servers as they would always stop to see if we needed anything...
Would definitely recommend it!
