All dishes were well prepared. Our waiter was efficient and attentive. As our last experience here, this was another great experience. Thank you!
Parking is a disaster. Show up 30 mins before showtime to find a spot to park. Otherwise, great place. Have business meetings here bi-weekly.
I was REALLY disappointed by our dinner last night. It was supposed to be a special birthday dinner for my 15-year-old twins. The hostess was extremely rude to start and placed us in the middle of the almost empty back patio, right next to another table...like 2 feet away. Not sensitive to COVID at all. When I asked to move she literally rolled her eyes. The food was fine, nothing special, and not worth $200.00 for the three of us. Lastly...they did nothing special for the birthday (other than a generic card) ...even when we ordered desserts. I will not be going again...the arrogance is unbelievable.
I love the remodel...really nice. Food was great. The outdoor dining nice too. I’ll be back.
Everything there is great except the music. Top 40 from the '70s, every song you never wanted to hear again in your life. My husband and I couldn't get out of there fast enough. We won't go back until the management does something about that inexcusable music. I can't recommend it until the issue is fixed, unless the person is hearing impaired.
We had a lovely evening at the Village Bakery & Cafe!
The service was quite wretched this evening :( We weren’t sat on the back patio as I requested in advance via OpenTable (which wasn’t a big deal/we didn’t even mention it to the host), but I was appalled by the difference between back patio & front patio service. This is my 5th (possibly even 6th) time to your restaurant in the last ~2.5 months, I’ve always had a wonderful experience on the back patio (hence why I keep returning with new guests!). Tonight’s experience was very different. Not only was service exceptionally slow (we watched nearly every table around us be served their entrees well before us even if they’d ordered after us), but we were basically ignored by our server (who I think was embarrassed by the long wait). Never asked if we’d like another round of cocktails, had to flag someone down for a refill of waters (& it was very warm today!). When our entrees finally arrived, they were all several minutes apart. The gentleman whom we asked about possibly moving an umbrella to further shade our table was very rude. I was very embarrassed as the person who suggested dining here to my friends & am hesitant to return :(
Great place! The food is excellent, the service prompt and friendly, the prices fair for such high quality food. Super happy that this place is here!
Fantastic food, service, and ambiance! I am already planning on coming back!
The pancakes were one of the best we've ever had.
On a very busy Saturday afternoon, the staff struggled a bit to keep things moving and were often unavailable for follow-on conversations about salt&pepper, more water, eat al.
While the outside front venue is necessary, the traffic on Woodside Road (especially motorcycles and, in our case, a major car accident) can make things a little interesting.
First time at Village Bakery and Cafe, very nice on a beautiful day. Sat outside.
A lovely place to enjoy good food and great atmosphere.
Food is bad. Fried chicken batter is hard, taste is way too salty. KFC is much better. Lunch for 2 with tap water comes to $51.00. Don’t think it’s worth it. Will not go again.
Great place to meet friends. Excellent service
Awesome restaurant!! Superb!! Delicious food and everything was fantastic!! Beautiful area!! Will go again soon!! 5 stars!!
It was a birthday lunch for a friend. She enjoyed her lunch, and so did I. 😊
What a let down! We love the food and atmosphere here but the service is deplorable...especially since a 20% tip is automatically added to every bill. No one came to our table for 20 minutes after we were seated and finally did so only because I waved them down. We ordered a drink and after 40 minutes(!) of not getting that (or any other attention), we went the bar to find out where they were. Only when our waiters saw us at the bar did he motion that he was bringing our drinks out. Everything was difficult...getting them to chill the wine we brought, getting water to the table, even wrapping up the dinner and paying the bill. This was on a recent Monday night and our bill was $540. It wasn't like we were there for a drink and an appetizer. I won't be going back anytime soon! It was a painful evening.
It was so enjoyable to eat outdoors at the Village Bakery and Cafe! The tables were a comfortable distance apart, and the service was outstanding. The food was excellent. My friend was vegan, and the waiter went out of his way to review the ingredients of her order and eliminate the non-vegan ingredient. I highly recommend this to anyone!
Such a great place! We love supporting local businesses and the staff, food and ambience was lovely.
The outdoor dining space is wonderful and the desert menu is especially yummy! The service has always been good and we enjoy eating at the Village Bakery very much.
Fantastic food and service!
Friendly staff, great food, a bit pricey but worth it.
Love the outside dining.
Everything was excellent.
Chilaquiles were too salty.
We do love this place, but the rear deck was rented and very loud.
Everything was prepared well, tasty, and presented well. We will be making this a regular for our meals out.
Excellent food and quick service. A great meal and a nice outdoor dining experience.
Comfortable And relaxing environment with decent well prepared dishes!
Just love the atmosphere and attentive courteous service
Brunch should offer more than just brunchy food. It would be great if there were more options other than eggs and salad plates.
Enjoyed a wonderful Easter brunch this past weekend! Service and food were both outstanding!
While I enjoy coming to the village bakery. There are some negative aspects of the experience that I think can be handled better.
Please don’t try to over sell Alcohol and other beverages .
Your server doest need to pour your glass for every sip you drink to optimize for a second bottle. I felt incredibly rushed and stressed to have to constantly tell the server I’m ok for now.
This is not my first time there , every time I am there it seems like they are expecting customers to order alcohol and beverages non stop! If someone having lunch there doest mean they need to get drunk or have and alcohol at all! People come and are pushed to the point of obligation to order drinks dessert, add ons etc. it makes the experience feel disingenuous and touristy and that is sad.
Great outdoor dining facilities. Good food, great service!
The Village Bakery is a lovely place to be and has excellent food and service and general ambience.
Excellent outdoor dining for our anniversary. Food was great, service was awesome and nice and safe for COVID. Will come again!
Waiter was amazing and very attentive. Food is always prepared perfectly ! We will definitely be going back again soon.
Food was below standard and what I have come to expect. Fried chicken was way too salty, ribs were dried out and tough. The slice of cake for my wife’s birthday, while appreciated, was dry and not moist. Not sure I am willing to go back and I love the place.
It took a little while to order initially but then drinks and food came very quickly and were good. It was a beautiful day and a great lunch on the patio.
