Another great meal at Village Bakery and Cafe! The food is always great, and the service was equally good. The tables are well-spaced, so my guests and I felt very comfortable dining there.
Very attentive and pleasant staff. Great food as well!
One of my fav places! Everything in the menu is good- good ambiance- luv location!
Service was excellent. Food is okay. The French toast is kind of odd-looking and lonely on a plate with no garnish. Some fruit would be a good addition - for esthetics and taste. For example sliced strawberries or tangerine segments. Simple to do. Same with eggs Florentine- while delicious, they were kind of lonely on the plate. A bit of arugula perhaps?
Service was quick and friendly. Food was good and fresh but the iced tea is terrible, do not waste your money.
Nice place for outdoor dining.
Sat on the back patio which is enclosed and more noisy. Service was slow, pancakes were underwhelming, and wish they would add an “Impossible” burger to their menu.
Great place to meet friends and talk. Brunch options were diversified but we all settled into have no the avocado, arugula toast with a poached egg. Very large toast and was filling. Yummy. They have the back and front patios open now. Plus the inside dining is available too. Lots of heaters outside so there weren’t many inside. I’ll be back.
Service was very good, food good, quiet enough inside we could visit!
Excellent food and services!
We were celebrating a birthday!! The service and food were excellent!! I had not been to this restaurant for many years but now it is my favorite!! The menu is somewhat small but that makes for better food quality and presentation!! I highly recommend it!!
Everything was excellent.
Over the place is a very relaxed place for Brunch. Highly recommend the outdoors.
My family and I have been coming to Village Bakery, and before that Woodside Bakery, for the last twenty years, two to four times a month.
Of all our visits, today was the least hospitable and at two times, service was subpar.
Our waiter seemed completely disinterested in hosting but in general service was subpar.
We always dine here as it’s one of our local favorites. Food is delicious and staff is very friendly and professional.
It was the first time for my guest and they loved it. I truly think your fireplace patio is perfect. My guest cannot wait to return with her family. Never disappointed.
Love this place. Good sevice and good food!
always the very best servers!!!
jose is super great!
Back patio is beautiful. The brunch menu is a bit limited, it has too many sweet options and not many savory. Pancakes were a bit undercook, breakfast sandwich was pretty average. The burger fried chicken sandwiches were good.
Excellent as always!
We started our meal with a butter lettuce salad and the leaves were so large that we had to cut them in order to eat our salad. Next our entree was delivered to our small table before we even finished our salad. We were seated at a small round table and in the process of setting down our entree, my client's water glass was tipped over and water went all over her lap, the table and the floor. Service was very poor last Friday during lunch.
It was a lovely evening treating my mom to a spontaneous meal out. The food was exquisite and clearly very well sourced. Every bite was tasty and my body feels healthier and nourished after such a delicious evening.
Fun setting and always delicious food and attentive service .
The best experiece! Will definately return from New York!
A wonderful all round experience. Very accommodating staff, food very nice (pot pie special was huge!) cocktails tasty. Sat outside so could be a bit cold without heaters. Also expect some noise since it’s near the road. All in all though very good.
First time into Woodside. Delighted to find the Village Bakery & Cafe. We had reservations and were seated right away. Diego served us and did well. As we are gluten sensitive, he mentioned that the corn bread is gluten free. We ordered it and loved it, even though we like it sweeter. While the outdoor seating was quite busy, the tables were apart enough to not be able to hear others conversations. Not being too hungry, we ordered two salads to go along with the corn bread and an order of grilled shrimp. All good. No gluten-free dessert other than gelato/ice cream. Would have liked a chocolate mousse or flan. Definitely worth a return visit.
Have been here numerous times but yesterdays brunch was sadly a disappointment from beginning to end....after ordering we waited over 45 minutes for our meals to arrive only to have both arrive cold and not not edible. Waiter returned them and had new ones made. A woman came by to apologize and let us know they would be making two new meals. Received the new meals which were hot but the side order of toast had obviously been made in advance and perhaps simply reheated as it was so hard and tough you could not even bite into it. I would have thought the manager would have checked back with us to assure all was ok but we saw no one till the bill was brought to us.
A simple Sunday brunch turned into an hour and a half ordeal with just ok entrees and we dropped over $75 on it. Very disappointing follow through, poor customer service, and not a great experience from start to finish.
Fantastic service - dessert could have been better!
Great ambiance outside! Dinner was delicious—I got the salmon with lentils and husband got burger. Both so delicious! We split the pear salad and was a bit disappointed. Felt like it needed a bit more snap. Overall, very very happy with our dinner last night!
Always excellent. We eat here every weekend, I love the Caesar salad with salmon, but today I noticed the menu had sautéed spinach, so I ordered that with salmon on top. Healthy and delish!
Love this place. Always exceptional.
My husband is picky but really likes the burger. The fries are consistently good. I had the French onion soup which was quite good. The butter lettuce salad with Warren pears, blue cheese and walnuts had potential but too much dressing and I like my salad greens cold not room temp. The martinis good but small for the price: $15 each.
Cesar salad was good. Fried Chicken was very good. Mashed potatoes need more substance. Waiter was excellent.
Front desk and phone assistance could use work. Pls put Parking suggestions on site or remind phone help to suggest.
This is a favorite of ours! Service is always great, the food is delicious, and the staff is excellent.
Good food; great service. Nice seating outdoors. Tasty dessert.
New favorite place for lunch or dinner. Really enjoy the outdoor dining experience.
Thank you - keep up the great work!
Wonderful business lunch in the back patio, thanks to the friendly and accommodating staff. We were greeted warmly and treated very well throughout our visit. Our waiter was excellent - very knowledgeable and efficient.
We were caught off guard that the beverage refills were not complimentary, especially since the glass size was so small.
The food was excellent. I enjoyed the New England Crab Roll which was fresh and delicious. The side salad was perfect. My dining companion had the fried chicken sandwich, which she shared with me - also very tasty.
The only down-side was the bill - the prices were too high, especially for the portions. The Arnold Palmers should have been refilled for free.
Great meal!! Very accommodating to requests for substitutions. Great service.
