The bread was stale. The gnocchi with mushrooms had a strange flavor - almost too much nutmeg or ?? we couldn't quite tell what it was. Pretty pricey for average food. Sorry but we won't be back.
I had the piccata and the food was without flavor.
Chris could have been a bit more on his game... He forgot things we asked for and didn't check often enough to see whether we needed more coffee or water. Otherwise he was delightful as a waiter and cheerful.
Our Sunday brunch was amazingly tasty, portions were large and the staff, chef and owner very nice!
I would love for this place to be successful under this ownership, however when waitstaff turn their nose up at you for your wine, appetizer and dinner selections, I'm not sure success is in the future. This has occurred the last 2-3 times we have visited and sadly, the quality of the food decreased significantly on our last visit. The pasta was horribly over spiced and dressing grossly over dressed and ridiculously oily. While the location is convenient for us to frequent, I'm not sure we will be inclined to go back.
As always, a wonderful experience and great service! The kid says this is the "best pizza in the universe!"
We loved the polenta cheese stick appetizer! Great service!
The food was very good but we were very surprised that there was no bloody Mary mix for a bloody Mary. Also when he asked for butters there wasn’t any. Then my husband asked for a Captain and Coke and they did not even have that and just brought out a different one. They would definitely need to change some of those things for us to want to come Back there on a regular basis.
I will start with the good thing. The food was very good. But service and the atmosphere needs a lot of help. My husband’s order was wrong, but it was quickly corrected. I asked for more Parmesan cheese, never got it . They decided that they would be moving tables around in the bar area where we were seated, in between lots of tables of people who were eating or trying to eat their dinner. It was very loud and annoying. We had a coupon that we gave the server when we ordered and she forgot to put it on the bill. Not sure that we will return.
We had sunday brunch: chicken and waffles. Fried chicken (a single boneless breast) was very good; waffles were dry. We've had other meals there that were very good, but wouldn't order the waffles or waffle sandwich.
Service and food were great!! We had made a reservation and were seated in the bar for the first time. Wouldn't do that again. Large party sitting next to us and I could barely hear my husband across the table.
We celebrated our anniversary with another couple. Service was great, food was great. Enjoyable evening.
Really enjoyed the Villa eggs benedict. The poached eggs were set on puff pastry stuffed with spinach and cheese, and the side potatoes were nice and spicy and crisp.
Everything was amazing! Chicken Alfredo was delicious and the live entertainment was fun to listen to!
Good food and nice people. The service was very slow but I assume this is because everything is made from scratch? The ladagna and bolonese were delicious and the dessert was fabulous!
Good food with good service. Made a simple lunch with friends a very special event!
I had been a regular at The Villa before it went through a sale, a name change, another sale and another name change back to The Villa. The food before was excellent and worth the price. Now, not so much...
Three of us ordered Veal Saltimbocca which we are familiar with and really love. The result was veal that was tough, very salty, and very dry. This dish should have a lemon-butter sauce but had none. For $19 it didn't even come with salad or side vegetable. Poor dish at a high price. The server never even asked us how the dishes tasted even when we pushed them aside without eating much.
One of us tried to order gluten-free but the only think they had available (on a Friday night) was hamburger buns so that person ordered the Villa Burger. Other than being over cooked, the burger tasted ok but probably not as good as even a Red Robin burger. Fries were great though.
Maybe this is a better burger and pizza joint than a "nice dinner place". Prices put it firmly in the "nice dinner place" though. I hope you have a better experience.
My salad with blackened shrimp was superb, my wife said she liked the beef sandwich, but it was drowned in garlic, which she could have had less of. Killer service! Definitely will be back!
I will probably try The Villa again. I looked at the menu online and saw an Italian restaurant with lots of GF options. On Sunday afternoon I found out (1) they don't serve the Italian menu except in evenings, and that's not Sunday; (2) they had a "barbeque" for Fathers Day; (3) the "barbeque" cost $20 for a marginal pulled pork or hotdog and some sides, and didn't even have any barbeque sauce. It was "all you can eat" for $20 but that wasn't a good deal.
Well, overwhelmed for FD. Out of Coors Lite ? Too many uncontrolled children running about. All in all
I would say the dining experience was a five. You have work to do.
I LOVE this place. The food is excellent and the service is outstanding!! I would eat here everyday if I could.
Overpriced and food was average buffet fare.
Table seating next to the bathroom not convenient that table needs to be moved away from bathroom door, to expensive for the quality of food, the parking lot has a great big pothole right in the way not good, few flying bugs on the table, one of the cook trying the food in front of us with his fingers, food prepper coughing in the prep area not sanitary, service and hosting was good and attentive.
The food was delicious. Wish we had been told the bottomless drink was included for mother’s. Didn’t see that until after we left. We were told it was $15 extra per person. Disappointed that there was no dessert. But the food was very well prepared.
Went to the Mother's Day buffet and while I usually maintain low expectations for buffet fare, I was very impressed with the offerings. Staff were very friendly and helpful, the ambiance was enjoyable and the food was incredible. High praise to the chefs and staff at the Villa - and keep up the incredible food and we will definitely keep coming back!
Great food and the service was excellant@
The food is incredible! The service was fantastic- as it got busy it got a little worse, but not to the point of ridiculousness. Loved every part of dinner; it was a fantastic place to go for our prom dinner.
The restaurant is under new ownership. It's good for what it is, but it's not what it was. I was unaware of the change in ownership and stared at the menu for quite some time trying to find all the dishes I previously enjoyed. I finally asked our server if perhaps my favorites were specials those previous evenings and if there were any specials currently. That's when I learned of the new ownership and the new menu. Where I previously enjoyed fresh halibut with capers over pasta I now only had the options of pizza, sandwiches, and all the standard pasta dishes - made with all the ingredients I could find in my own pantry on any given day. Kind of a disappointment. However, once I wrapped my head around the new direction - it is good for what it is. Just don't expect anything special.
Good food, nice atmosphere , very friendly staff, outstanding service. Real Gem of a place , but don’t let the word get out. Don’t want it to be too crowded the next time we go.
Pleasantly surprised by the “new” Villa. Staff was attentive and very helpful. Lots of enticing menu options. We will be back.
Overall experienced is the reason to come back. Everything is great!
First time back since The Villa came back. Great service, but the old vibe is gone. Food was great, dessert not so much.
Great place! Looking forward to going back.
The restaurant was very busy on Valentines Day. We did not have to wait since we had a reservation, but the service was very slow. Perhaps they were short staffed. Our waiter took our appetizer and drink order about 15 minutes after being seated, but did not take our dinner order until we had finished our appetizer, which was late being served. Our dinners came to us less than warm which was not good for the flavor of the dishes. It seemed that the kitchen was overwhelmed on that night. Perhaps we will try it again, but not on a holiday.
The owners were more than happy to help me in planning a little surprise for my girlfriend on Valentine’s Day, and I can’t thank them enough for going above and beyond during a very busy night! The wild mushroom gnocchi with truffle cream sauce was delicious! Good vegan option!
One of the worst nights ever on Valentines Day
3.5 hours overall time spent.
Lost ticket, people walked by us constantly, never said a word.
Have lived in the area for over 25 years and gone to the Villa as it switched from one owner to another; was optimistic given reviews. Very disappointed though.
Realize it was a busy night; however, we had reservations and were seated in an odd pass through room where servers and folks going to the privy continually cut through even after we brought up the issue up to our server. (Not to mention our table was structurally unsound and tilted significantly if you moved your glass.). Our order took over an hour and at no time did the server come to refresh the bread or see if we needed more to drink (which we did given the wait and spectacular view of the privy.)
The food was good, but the ambiance and service so poor I will not be retuning. I will go back to Bella across the street.
Wonderful atmosphere, service and food! Enjoyed the live harp music! Will be back!!!
Great food and excellent service, we will be back!
New owner and staff are doing a great job!! Service was excellent, food was amazing and the owner chatted with us and told us about the new things coming in terms of the menu and entertainment. All sounds fabulous. We will definitely be back!!
