Excellent service and the food was incredible! I really enjoyed the pre-fix menu and felt it was a great value for only $65. It was more food then I could eat!
Great food. Great views. Really good service. Thoroughly enjoyable.
Great food and service, loved the ambiance!
This appropriately named restaurant--the view from the dining area is beyond compare--has been our Telluride favorite for about 10 years. We've always had a 5 star meal for quality & value. The upscale, indoor pre fixe effort is a nice alternative, given present dining restrictions in Colorado. A meal by a crackling fireplace in the Lodge is "what you want" after a day of skiing or hiking/biking (in the Spring/Summer/Fall). My wife's brie quesadilla was truly delightful, while my artichoke dip was quite nice. The leek bisque she ordered was excellent, and my Caesar salad was fresh and clean. She enjoyed her NY strip over campfire beans while I went for the comfort of grilled chicken breast over au gratin potatoes&corn. Both were just perfect, as was my creme brulee. Highly recommend the chocolate studded big whiskey bread pudding which was the star of the meal.
Absolutely Wonderful! This was by far the very best dining experience in Telluride!
This was a beautiful evening...Food exceptional and service super. Best Valentines day ever!
Outstanding meal and service. My wife loved it, so did I.
Everything was absolutely delicious!!
Would definitely go back again to try the other stuff!!
Everything was fabulous! From our arrival welcome, through every course and our departure, we were treated to an amazing dining experience. We were greated warmly, seated promptly, and the food and wine suggestions were perfect. All of the four appetizers: Beef Tenderloin Carpaccio, Pan Flashed Mussels, Brie Quesadilla, Grilled Artichoke, were sampled and thoroughly enjoyed. The salad and soup options were delicious. Everyone raved about their entree. I had the Blue Cheese Basted Petite
New York Strip medium rare w/Campfire Barbeque Beans, Grilled Asparagus and Tobacco Onions. It was amazing! The steak was prepared perfectly and the Campfire beans and smoky onions added a casual flair to an amazing dinner. The desserts were over the top and delicious. The vanilla bean ice cream served with the Chocolate Studded ‘Big Whiskey' Bread Pudding was decadently heavenly! Everything was plated beautifully. Their team provided top-notch service. Can't wait to return to The View!
Lovely quiet atmosphere in the lodge dining area with beautiful views of the mountains.-great service and fine food.
Fabulous service
Waiter was not personable. Food was disappointing. Not happy with the set menu. Would not come back.
The surroundings are unbelievably beautiful. Value is great. Too bad the food is poor., Had "new york strip" a very easily identifiable cut. What we got - was nothing like it, not a strip, and of very poor gristle-quality. Left most of it.
The prix fix menu is well intentioned but too much of a reach for the kitchen. For instance, the beef carpaccio delivered on a hot plate, not cold! By the time it arrived, it was thinly sliced well-done filet.
The halibut entre was crazy spicy hot. I mean like, habenero hot! It was too hot to eat and we eat spicy food all the time. Also, it was served too late after it was cooked and plated as it was both cold and overcooked by the time it was delivered. Didn't eat.
The paella was contrived. Paella is formulaic and the chef went off formula and created something that should have a different name. It wasn't fidebua and it wasn't paella. Call it "seafood mishmash with white rice" as it had no flavor and they even made a point of saying, "saffron scented rice". That didn't mean there was saffron in the rice because there wasn't any.
Desserts were creative and mostly delicious. The chocolate mousse was fine, even excellent as well as the creme brulee, but the bread pudding wasn't good. It was contrived in a sheet pan, sliced up and dry.
Wine list was satisfactory with good choices and reasonable prices, but I wouldn't go back.
The Food and Service were fantastic. I would recommend The View to anyone and most of all I would take anyone there. I will go there again!
There is not another choice in Telluride that has the quality and romantic flavor of the view. Perfection!
At 25% capacity this indoor dining haven was a no brainer. Great service and the food was excellent. Could eat the Mussell sauce every say.
Food was OK bit the bread pudding and creme brulee desserts included in the meal packages were not available.
Four course, fixed price ($65.00) menu with excellent choices for each course. Reservations through Open Table required.
Great food. The venue is one of the best in Telluride.
Food tasted great! Great menu and nice and helpful staff!
Great food and atmosphere! The Chef came over and spoke with us a few times to make sure we were enjoying the food, nice guy (Aaron). Service was quick and the staff was very friendly.
