We have eaten there many times. And taken visiting guests and relatives. Always outstanding service, food, views, and gardens. We love the Veranda, and we would recommend it to everyone, but then, we would never get a reservation. Will eat there many, many, more times.
I expected more based on the reviews and general word of mouth in the North County area. The venue is gorgeous and worth a trip to The Veranda on its own. The grounds are fabulous and super well groomed. Great views from all exterior tables.
The food was decent, but not 5 stars. I would rate it 4 stars for Fallbrook and 3 stars for the County. The Bloody Mary's were excellent. The complementary antipasto looked like it was prepared eight hours earlier and refrigerated. The menu was interesting and had nice choices, but all four of us were left less than impressed. One had an omelet that was average at best. Another had a breakfast burrito and ate half, not interested in taking the other half home. The other two of us had the Cuban sandwich witch had too little meat and odd taking pickles.
It is worth a visit for the grounds (Grand Tradition), but it is not a culinary dream.
My family and I went for breakfast and the entire atmosphere was excellent ! I am looking forward to go back again. Great food, beautiful view . Excellent service .👍🥂
The food is outstanding and you can't beat the relaxing view. The prime rib sandwich was the best. Tender and flavorful. The spinach salad was great too. Just be sure to make reservations.
This was a wonderful venue for lunch, The meals are delicious and reasonably priced. The service was impeccable! It was a warm day (90's) but the outdoor fans provided a comfortable enviroment. The walk around the garden paths after lunch was outstanding, just a wonderful place~
The Veranda Restaurant in Fallbrook is run by the Grand Tradition wedding and event venue and has a wonderful view of the lake and surrounding gardens. It's a beautiful location. The wait staff were very friendly and efficient and the food and bloody marys were very good. It is definitely worth the drive to Fallbrook!
The wait staff was excellent. Our party was drinking water only and I was ready to ask for a pitcher when Cortland brought a carafe of iced water.
Alexis was friendly and offered menu suggestions as well as answered all of our questions.
We will no doubt come back to enjoy another wonderful dining experience.
Lovely location for a first brunch in Fallbrook. Well presented tasty brunch (but beware portions are not small!) Interesting (and tasty) cocktail options.
Beautiful garden tour after brunch. Great way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Great motorcycle ride. Would highly recommend it
Friday, June 30 at 1:45 p.m. was a perfect time at the Veranda. I took a friend to lunch for her birthday. It is such a beautiful, peaceful and unique place to celebrate a birthday. This was the second time I celebrated a birthday at the Veranda. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone.
This wonderful place is so peaceful and serene. I will be bringing friends for birthday lunches and have made 2 separate reservations for 2 birthday lunches. I would give this place 5 stars for sure.
We have been coming for our anniversary for the past 5 years and never received a notice about the ring corps changing to a $30 credit off. Would have been nice to be notified of the change instead of finding out when we paid the bill.
The Veranda Restaurant is by far one of a kind, wonderful surroundings, view, food great, however, we left unfortunately without eating. We had a 10:00 A.M. reservation, were seated at a very tiny table, which was not a concern, at the end of the porch, DIRECTLY in the sun, it was 90 degrees at that time already. My husband is elderly, and we could not sit there and swelter in that heat. Asked for another place, there were empty tables, but am sure they were reserved for large parties. They were not at all accommodating, was that table or not..... so we left. I would suggest if you go to The Veranda you go when it is not hot weather.
Lovely venue and delicious food and wine at reasonable prices. A real gem! Be sure to make a reservation though.
Beautiful location. The view looks over a large pond and beautiful gardens. We love to go, walk through the gardens and eat.
The gardens are breathtaking and the view from the Veranda is amazing. Excellent menu.
We were very excited to have Father's Day brunch at The Veranda. It's been on our list to try for a year. We got to our table and felt the sun beating down especially on my son. The restaurant was not busy at all and had several open tables. We told the hostess we would like to move from the sun. We were told no. All the other tables were apparently reserved. Well, needless to say this put a damper on the morning. By the time we left (and fought off all the gnats that were flying around) we were frustrated. There were still many many tables open and available. Not sure I would return. The food was great but disappointed in the lack of concern.
One more note, to have to pay an extra $2.50 per person to walk around the grounds was ridiculous! I understand if we were not paying customers but really? Very petty!
Would love to have this restaurant open a few evenings a week. I understand that on the weekends it is booked with special events but it would be wonderful if they could do like a Wednesday and Thursday evening for dinner and cocktails. It is so lovely and we absolutely love dining on the Veranda and the food and service is amazing.
This place is a gem in the back country. The gardens are so lovely and the heart shaped lake is beautiful. Sitting on the veranda and looking out over the lake is so serene. The service was wonderful and the price is modest. I had a really nice salad.
Even is you don't stay for lunch, a stroll through the gardens can provide a peaceful interlude in your day.
The Veranda is a dining experience not just a restaurant. Be sure to have time to enjoy the total experience of the restaurant as well as walking the immaculate grounds. The food was very reasonably priced for such a great atmosphere compared to a winery but the food was as good if not better than any meal I have had at a Temecula winery.
The perfect place to catch up with folks we care about. The service, food, atmosphere is consistently 5 stars!
Excellent food and service. very inexpensive, but you need reservation for this place. Had to make a reservation with about a month in advance for a weekend availability but was worth the wait.
Great service and food. Would highly recommend The Veranda to everyone
We went to celebrate my husbands birthday with his parents. Our table had such an amazing small town feel to it and each of us loved our menu choice! Delish! We will be back! Perfect for a small celebration, girls brunch..or just because!
Great food good service beautiful ambience very fresh tasting food
Lunch at The Veranda is always a delight and a treat for the eyes. Food and view will never disappoint. This has been and always will be a favorite place to go for lunch.
We enjoy bringing others to the Grand Tradition to experience the beautiful hidden gem of Fallbrook. As always it was a delightful time. I am disappointed though that the Orchid Bar will not be open to the public for Happy Hour this summer.
Great time for celebrating my birthday. The food was very good, very reasonably priced. We had the Avocado Egg Roll for appetizer along with the dish of veggies with dip and fruit with yogurt already on the table, and for our brunch, we ordered the Veggie Quiche with Home Fries Potatoes. Everything tasted great and was beautifully presented. At the end of our meal, our server brought out a special mini-dessert for me and my husband to share, and he even videoed on my phone us singing happy birthday and me blowing out the candle. Beautiful view of the manicured lawn and pond with fountain, and while dining we enjoyed watching a wedding party be photographed in the gardens. Afterwards, we walked around to look at all the luscious gardens with waterfalls and exotic flowers. Romantic, peaceful and charming.
We enjoyed brunch. The grounds are lovely.
I came here to celebrate a friends birthday. I had tried to get earlier reservations when my daughter was in town from college and nothing was available. I booked a couple weeks out and sadly, it turned out to be the weekend it rained - a lot. Heat lamps were turned on and the food, service, and wonderful setting were so wonderful even the rain couldn't spoil the day. I would come back here again, but be sure to make reservations well in advance.
The grounds are beautiful we arrived early just to walk the grounds. The view from the Veranda restaurant is grand. The lunch could not have been better. The staff kind and helpful. The cost is quite reasonable.
Celebrating my birthday and favorite place to go. Love the view from porch..... so relaxing and romantic. Our young server Nick was very good and attentive to our lunch. Food is excellent and presentation is beautiful with flowers.🤗
I rated the noise level as quiet because we had the last table on the veranda, so we were spared some of the noise from being in the center of the veranda. We had visited Grand Tradition before (we drive up from San Diego), so we were eager to re-visit the gardens, waterfalls, beautiful flower beds. I made our reservation on Open Table but also received a live phone call from Grand Tradition two days before our lunch to confirm. After our lunch, we told the waitress we were eager to walk the paths through the gardens, and we were told that there was going to be a wedding later that day and that we weren't allowed to see the gardens! WHAT??! Why weren't we told that when they called us to confirm the reservation??! We wouldn't have driven up just for lunch. Makes us wonder if they just didn't want to "lose" the lunch revenue by telling us that. Our lunch was delicious, and you can't beat the veranda for ambiance. But the fact that we weren't told about the wedding so we could make a different decision has left a bad taste in our mouths. Too bad.
Awesome as always! Our son and his girlfriend were very impressed with the ambiance, food and the service.
15th wedding anniversary. We got married at the Grand Tradition
First time at the Veranda and it was exquisite! After brunch, we took a stroll in the gardens, a must see while you are there. There are also various places you can have a snack, drink and enjoy the waterfalls. Definitely a place to visit.
I was proud to take my friend for lunch as a thank you. She loved it and even took pictures of the grounds
2 weeks in a row - Always love taking friends to The Veranda!
Thought tables were a little too close together. We had a group of about 10 female tennis players celebrating a birthday next to us. Although they were not very loud my husband and I could follow the whole conversation . They had a lot of fun but did not share any of their beautiful birthday cake with us ......Too bad!
