Nestled at the corner of Brazos and Second Street, the Veranda at Dean's is an open-air space with patio seating and views of Austin’s Tau Ceti mural. An intimate corner spot with an ivy-laced bar, the Veranda offers a raw bar experience including seafood plateaus, Gulf and East Coast raw oysters, and shareable small plates. A weeknight happy hour features $7 select wines, $8 cocktails, and $9 shareable plates, from 5-6:30pm.

The happy hour menu was okay the real winner was this short rib gnocchi. The service could’ve been better, kept asking for water, silverware, the server we saw once after that it was everyone but her.

So good!! Dean’s has done everything so well. From the moment you sit down in their incredibly comfortable chairs, to the last bite of fluffy tiramisu, it’s a top notch experience. The food was fantastic! The service was excellent. Our server, Gabby, was friendly, knowledgeable, and went the extra mile! I have already been recommending Dean’s to everyone and will definitely be back!

The sever we had was amazing she was on top of it. The whole service drink was never low and our food was out hot and pack out when we wanted it.
