Delightful little spot, friendly staff and prompt service of delicious food.
We had a great date night out at The Vault! We will definitely come back
Food was cold tested like was cooked yesterday. Very expensive for a poor food quality.small menu . Service was good . Charge you for everything including heating lumps . Would not recommend it.
The outdoor dining ambiance is great. The food was good but very overpriced for the experience.
Really well executed service, food and ambiance. The food was delicious... but the service was exemplary. In these hard times it is so hard to have to tell guests things out of the normal. You never know what you’re going to be met with and we found that the staff at The Vault did it with grace and elegance. The service was on point! We never felt rushed, ignored or encroached upon. Really, a fabulous experience and one I hope to repeat again soon! Thank you!
Beautiful setting but poorly managed. Slow service, very limited bar with only well level alcohol, very limited menu but it was delicious. Little touches irritated such as poor outside heating, plastic cups instead of wine glasses etc. If a well run restaurant had this setting they could do great things
If someone would ask me I would say it’s totally a “don’t go to place”. The ambiance was ok but the food was awful and the service was really bad. The server disappeared after taking the order, and never came back to check on us, the steak wasn’t right and I couldn’t find anyone to fix it.
The last guy that got us the check was nice but definitely was a waist of money.
The area was super great, especially during covid, lots of heaters, spacious seating & so nice not to be sitting on a sidewalk! Service was also great, just very pricey for the amount of food. Plus a very high corkage fee, since we brought our own bottle of wine.
it was an awesome experience and the food was great. We really enjoyed just being outside and enjoying family and great food
The drinks were terrible! We all sent ours back. The food way good. Semi cold because their kitchen was a block away. The burger was the best part.
Always outstanding food and service! It was a little chilly outside, but they did everything they could to provide heaters and blankets.
Lovely experience at the vault garden. Perfect from start to finish, even when the waiter messed up my drink order they took care of it promptly. Food is soo good.. will definitely be back soon.
Took my girlfriend here and we heard good things about this place but I guess service was the only thing good here. The only good dish was the salad, and it's crazy because every single dish was over priced for its value and so heavily salted. We ordered the short rib pasta and literally had 2 bites and didn't finish it. The duck was terrible too and the only good part was the beans. The beans I feel like I ate lettuce and beans and paid a 150 bucks for the meal because that's literally what happened. When a guest eats 2 bites of food or if the food is left over maybe you should ask what is wrong.... well I want to compliment the server though he did a great job.
Delicious brunch with fantastic service!
The music was spotty and distracting. Food was great and the mimosas for brunch was great. Get the beignets!
I was quite disappointed with the food and drinks. When I got my drink even the waiter said “that looks really watered down” but didn’t take it back. The food was very mediocre for the prices. Both of our dishes lacked flavor. It was a shame for Valentines brunch.
I was thrilled to get out and have brunch with a friend since we're all spending way too much time inside these days. This was the reason I was probably willing to spend $21 on Eggs Benedict. I have never spent that much on eggs before but what the hey. Had they been good, I probably would have been ok with it but they were not. They were not warm and the potatoes that accompanied them seemed like they had been sitting under a heat lamp and were not fresh. I was also disappointed they did not have lattes. My friend was pleased with her $16 breakfast but seriously $21 for eggs benedict? And a charge for propane on top of our having to pay the employees health benefits. I pay my own portion of my own health benefits along with my employer so I've always found this tax unfair but my real problem with this restaurant was the exuberant price for the eggs topped off by the fact that they were not so great or warm. Something I mentioned to our server.
Amazing service and food! The ambiance was great too. Highly recommend.
We’ve been to The Vault (pre covid) so them reimagined as The Vault Garden and knocking it out of the park was no surprise. They continue to impress with amazing California cuisine, professional service and ambiance is one of the best outdoor dining set up in SF, currently.
However, cocktails weren’t great and expect a PROPANE fuel charge. I don’t know of any restaurant right now that does this, but they gotta pass on the cost somehow
Great atmosphere, and absolutely beautiful patio. Service was outstanding, and food was delicious. Price could be a little bit less expensive for the portion size, but overall great experience.
Beautiful outdoor setup with great service but food left much to be desired. The crab dip was excellent but the burger and prime rib were okay.
I booked based on the online pics - it showed a very cute place with lots of ambiance (bistro lights and heat lamps). Unfortunately we were sat next to column and the service table- didn’t get the ambiance I was expecting.
Overall a good place for outdoor eating and our server was fantastic and friendly.
Food, service and ambiance was FANTASTIC! Probably one of the best outdoor build outs in the city. Even with the FiDi winds, I was still warm! It was a little pricey but the food was so yummy, I think it was worth it! Can't wait to go back
Great place for a special occasion! Highlights recommended !
The weather was wet and rainy but the outdoor venue held up! The service was top notch my only gripe was that the prime rib was way undercooked. For 50+ dollars that hurt but I plan to make good leftovers with it
Very good service, nice COVID setup...very good burger. This is the future of dining out - social separation and good cuisine...
A fantastic experience all around. Drinks were a little "small" for the price. But the food was fantastic!
We had a very nice brunch on the last day before SIP restriction. The meal was delicious, the wait staff very friendly and helpful. Safety protocol in place and followed. We will go back again one day.
So beautiful.....what a great way to enjoy eating out.
I had high hopes for the Vault Garden having seen how beautifully they decorated the space for the holidays. I was grateful that they wanted to invest into making their diners feel like they could forget about the pandemic for a while. I was surprised however that the dining room was fully enclosed, with a roof, and plastic sheets for side walls. This no longer qualifies as outdoor dining, sorry. I couldn't see much air ventilation going either. Despite the heaters provided it was also cold, especially if you sat close to the outer edge of dining area. As for service, it was fine, although they initially overcharged us for the wine pairing. We had to wait for some of the courses but it wasn't a problem. Their kitchen is a block away, so you have to order all the food at the beginning, including any desserts. This was also fine with us. We opted for one prix fixe which was a gem lettuce salad, prime rib with yorkshire pudding, potatoes and veggies, followed by a Meyer lemon tart. We also had the smoked trout appetizer, duck cassoulet and pumpkin cheesecake. The food was delicious and very filling. I was about to complain about the small size of the cheesecake for $10, but I could barely finish it.
They had an excellent playlist and we appreciate all the staff being dressed for the holidays. Unfortunately, our fellow diners let us down yet again. There were a couple of large tables next to us that were very loud and didn't wear masks at all while seated, even though they seemed to be on their phones most of the time and not eating or drinking. I didn't feel safe eating there because of this, as the walls are enclosed and there seems to be little air circulation. I realize that restaurants won't enforce the mask rules and social distancing because they need the money from their dining customers but I probably won't return exactly for that reason.
The vault was AWESOME. They got so creative with the holiday spirit and went all out. The food was phenomenal, truffle pasta special, truffle beef tartar and the caviar were a few of my tables favorites. All of the staff was fun, and so helpful. The best ambiance for honestly any occasion. Thank you again for the experience!
It was great. Celebrated anniversary. Nice table, nice decor for Christmas-great experience
Beautiful outdoor terrace with strong Covid safety precautions. Wonderful service!
The food was excellent and the atmosphere was festive and romantic!
I thought the staff was very professional and looking very holiday with the sweaters
The food my dish was disappointing and the presentation could have been better
And a 14$ BloodyMary could have been served in a taller glass
I was very disappointed with this restaurant. The food was very blend and the service was quite bad. They took a long time to serve us and bring our food and the experience overall was terrible. I would not recommend it to anyone. The food was overpriced for the portions and lacked flavor.
Birthday - they give you a bday card
The food was delicious. The staff very charming and appropriately attentive. Our table location was by the service desk so we couldn’t really enjoy the beautiful decorations, a quibble to be sure. We enjoyed our afternoon very much.
Felt super safe and both food and service were outstanding. Tables spaced out and heat lamps at every table.
It was cold and windy.
