The Union Kitchen - Washington
At the union Kitchen outdoor dining is a year-round event with ceiling fans and air coolers for hotter days and heat lamps for cooler nights. Just perfect for enjoying an wonderful meal outdoor.
The Union Kitchen offers ice cold draft beers and a huge selection of American and International wines. Imagine a place where while enjoying some Mimosas you can order eggs Benedict and watch your favorite sporting events; and all in company of friends and family.
Great atmosphere, great service, great food, great staff. Decor is beautiful and our waitress (Tra’Shanna D.) made our day..her beautiful spirit, smile and overall excellent customer service. Will definitely be coming back.
The Union Kitchen restaurants are by far my favorite! You get such a great variety on the menu! There’s something for everyone! And if you’re looking for a Sunday funday place to start your day...THIS IS IT! I highly recommend the Nutella doughnut holes and the crab cake eggs Benedict. Really you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. It’s all amazing! As well as the staff. All super friendly and excited to be at work!
30th Birthday Brunch!!
Improve the valet parking or, even better, cut it.
Bad service, slow and rude
Absolutely love this place and location, never a disappointment when visiting!
Went on Mother’s Day .. wasn’t too busy or noise .. fast service .. enjoyed & will be back
The food and service was exceptional. Our server Will was knowledgeable, pleasant and very attentive. We’ll definitely be back with friends.
Loved it & so did our mothers!
Extremely friendly environment in a very convenient location. The menu offers something for everyone. The Frito Macaroni and cheese was a big hit.
Great neighborhood restaurant! Brought friends from out of town, and they were impressed!
We went there at 5:45 so it was not crowded. The food was excellent and our waiter was attentive. Not sure how it would be during the evening rush hour but it was great for us. We had a two month old with us and they were very accommodating to that.
Never received our muffins even though they were offered and we reminded twice. Had to ask for other things multiple times. Food we had was really good.
They were ready for us promptly when we arrived and they were able to accommodate a last minute reservation on a holiday
The place was super nice! Its in a great area, and the food looked just as good as it taste. The price was surprisingly not that bad.
Great food, great service, great ambiance. We originally went to the location in Kingwood which is laughable in ambiance and value compared to the rest of the locations they offer.
Usually have amazing service, but took forever to get our mimosas and then he did not even bring the glasses. By the time he brought the glasses. The mimosas where hot.
The first waiter we had was so SLOW and we waited over 20 mins for our drinks. When I mentioned this to the managers that immediately fixed the situation and our new waitress was AMAZING. The managers made sure the rest of our visit was top notch and that we were happy customers. We were! The food is always good and the drinks. Service at the bar never disappoints either!
This is our favorite brunch spot! The food is amazing. Our waitress this past weekend (Trish) was the absolute BEST!
I was really looking forward to this, but I must confess the dinner did not live up to expectations. Brussels sprouts were awesome, but the pasta dish was watery and not all that satisfying. My wife’s salad was no better than I could make at home.
The food was awesome. I loved my special, Korean barbecue eggs benedict. My aunt would have liked a few more non-egg choice items for brunch: there aren't many so know that if you aren't an egg lover. But, the wait staff was awesome and the food was delicious.
Friendly service for early dinner but the kitchen must have been having an off-day.. The only fresh fish on the menu was so rubbery as to be practically inedible. To the restaurant's credit, they did not charge us for the fish and apologized. Too bad, the food at their Kingwood location has always been lovely.
Everything one could desire for brunch.
We are always pleased with the food and service. This is our go-to place!
We were referred to Union Kitchen by our hotel staff member. We enjoyed the dinner very much and our server Audra (sorry can't remember exactly but is was an unusual name) was absolutely excellent. She made suggestions, asked how the dinner was going and offered us desserts in a very friendly, helpful way. I had the Pistachio Crusted Chicken and though very good tasting, the pasta under the chicken was barely warm. Be sure to ask that you entre be served hot if you like it that way.
Great service and delicious food -- special thanks to our server and the manager, Jim
If you don't have anything nice to say - don't say anything...
The Union Kitchen on Washington never disappoints. The service and food are always great!
Overall great place food was good ...patio was nice
Never a bad moment with food or service, my go to place!
Very nice dinner with the family, my kids were not to happy with the menu selection but service was great
2nd visit this month. Another great outing. Thoroughly enjoyed the food, service and atmosphere.
I love this place! How can one make a chicken sandwich special? I mean, you’ve had one, you’ve had them all. But their chicken and avocado sandwich with the jalapeño bread is amazing! And the sriracha aioli that comes with the chips is insanely addictive. I can’t get enough. The fried chicken and biscuits on the brunch menu is also delicious! The location in Washington has a great atmosphere - I love all the windows. The service is always great. This has become my favorite restaurant in Houston.
I enjoyed lunch there previously with some friends, so was surprised at how mediocre dinner was. Dinner wasn't bad, but unremarkable and not worth a return visit given the many dining options in Houston.
Dinner was good and it’s nice to have a tablecloth meal from time to time. Prices are good and there’s a good drink and wine menu. It wasn’t very busy so it was a relaxing meal. Our server was a bit stone faced so that wasn’t great but he was attentive so no major complaints us there
The food was COLD and the cooking oil needed to be changed. After speaking with the manager they re-made the food. However, it was more of the same and this time the food didn't have any presentation, i.e. waffles were not cut into fours sprinkled with powdered sugar topped with fruit and the so called split chicken breast was chicken tenders (STILL over-cooked with tons of batter). Possibly this was a bad day but I don't plan to return to re-affirm or not. I can say the waiter tried his best, but there was obvious lack of operations including but not limited to management. They should have ensured the food was prepared according to their company expectation which should be consistent with the customers. EPIC FAIL...the Kingwood location is so much better and what I consider EXCEPTIONAL.
Noise level was too high today .... it was a busy Monday and the limited number of servers were stretched.
My friend and I sat in the bar area. The place was totally packed but our server Greg was awesome. He was friendly and helpful and the food is amazing (but huge portions). Plus who can beat a $10 carafe of mimosas!
First time visitors to The Union Kitchen. Very pleased with the overall experience. Good location and atmosphere. Lots of windows and ability to see all around. Free valet parking (do this as there is not much parking in the area). Great menu offerings, all at reasonable prices. Had the peppercorn crusted Ahi tuna and meatloaf, along with caesar and wedge salads. All were good, including the complimentary bread. Very reasonable prices. Aaron (server) was super. Will definitely return and bring family/friends next time. Want to try out other menu options.
