Everything was GREAT AS USUAL
Wonderful brunch. Can’t wait for menu to be expanded. Service was excellent
A friend had recommended this place to us. It did not disappoint. The food was amazing and our server was very friendly and the right level of attentive. It’s a cute little place. I hadn’t been in the area in a while and I was impressed.
Thank you for choosing The Union Kitchen on Ella for your anniversary. We greatly appreciate your 5-star review and look forward to serving you again real soon.
Our server Dina was amazing. She had great recommendations and was super friendly. The social distancing and Covid guidelines were great and easy to follow. Nice touch having hand sanitizer on the table! We can’t wait to come back!
Thanks Kristin and welcome to the neighborhood! We appreciate your review and are looking forward to your next visit.
Place was not very well kept, tables were dirty and sticky. Beer I preferred on draft was cool but not cold. Food was actually good but couldn’t get past the dingy place
High quality food, service, facility and very clean!!
We had an awesome time! Our food was great and we had an awesome waiter! It was a great way to start our anniversary!
Food and service was amazing. Would highly recommend
Huge menu with all sorts of good stuff. Really hard not to find some crowd pleaser menu items. Great service. Love the outdoor patio.
Union Kitchen is one of the very few restaurants I feel comfortable dining in person for now. Since reopening they have done an impressive job spreading customers out and all staff are in masks. You can’t beat their half price appetizers at happy hour. Love the Brussels sprouts. Their fish and chicken entrees are always tasty. Dynamite Chicken and the Cobb Salad are favorites. Be sure to get the TUK loyalty card and you’ll rack up rewards to use on future dining.
Lots of other great businesses next to it- Body Rock Pilates (awesome small group Reformer classes), Sweet Cup Gelato & Sorbet Originale (delicious, hand crafted flavors) and Ritual Pedispa (excellent mani pedis).
Food and service was good.
The restaurant was pretty empty due to Covid and that they closed in 30 minutes. The booth the hostess tried to seat us at was very dirty. It had obviously not been wiped down. I mentioned that it didnt look clean and no response from her. We walk to another booth and it looked the same, still dirty with bits of food still on the table. We gave up trying to get a booth at this point and just went to a table which was finally clean. This is just unacceptable, especially in a time like this. You are at a limited capacity, it should not be difficult to ensure your tables are clean! Or at least if you try to seat someone there and notice it is dirty, offer to clean it or apologize or something. At least acknowledge it. The food was good and our server was fine as well. Will not be in a rush to come back any time soon.
We will continue to dine at Union Kitchen because we enjoy the food and have consistently received good service. It may be a few months before our next visit since we were uncomfortably with the majority of other diners not bothering to wear face coverings as they entered the restaurant.
Great experience with excellent food and solid service!
First time back since the beginning of “Stay home stay safe” we were very happy with the way they have set up the restaurant, service and food was great!
not a bad experience, just not up to the usual standards. will be back. tonight was just meh.
Food, beverages and service were excellent. TUK Ella is one of our favorite restaurants in Houston.
Excellent wevice, good food all things considered.
Food was excellent. The service was great. I certainly recommend to
anyone needing a break from the past few weeks.
Everyone in my group thought the food taste great.
We had a fabulous experience for my best friend’s birthday on the patio. We were seated far away from other guests and staff all had on masks. The basil Paloma is delicious. Brussels sprouts are always a fave. The lobster ravioli on the Mother’s Day special sounds delicious.
Our first restaurant to visit after the safer-at-home restrictions were loosened up. TUK followed all the guidelines for staff PPE and social distancing of their available tables. In spite of the limited menu, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and look forward to our next visit.
First lunch in a restaurant since mid-March and all was wonderful, food and service. Can't wait to go back.
Woubderful experience will Come Back
Always a pleasure. Jesse and the rest of the staff always make us feel welcome and not rushed. The food was delicious too!
Great lunch place!!
My rainbow trout was ok I just expected more flavor. Get the dynamite chicken, it was excellent

Thank you ShannaS for the 5 Star Rating and most excellent review, we appreciate your business and look forward to serving you again soon.
Fantastic as usual. Everyone in our group loved what they ordered. Service was excellent. Will be back soon!
We LOVE Union Kitchen, the food is always top notch and plentiful. We prefer this location over the Kingwood location based on the vibe. Plenty of tables for bigger parties, dark booths, bright walls. Very accommodating to my toddler, will be back!
Love the Brussels
Food was good. The service excellent. They put me by the door which was not good. The $19 dollar a bottle of wine was over priced at $70.
Enjoyed a nice Valentines dinner. Our food was served promptly and well prepared
The staff is friendly and efficient. The chief loves salt. We went on Valentines Day and had the Valentines Day Special. The first course was half of a deviled egg. The second course was salad or lobster bisque. The salad was good but the lobster bisque was so salty I could not eat it. That bisque had enough salt in it to give you a heart attack or stroke. The main course was medallions of beef - two small pieces of beef in a really salty sauce piled in the middle of the plate with mashed potatoes and two thin shrimp on top. The deserts were crème brulee and red velvet cheesecake and both were excellent. The service was prompt and efficient except for getting the check handled.
"Wine Down Weds" was great! Order a bottle of wine and get ANY pizza for $5 - perfect to split with a friend. We added side salads for just a few bucks each. Our waiter, Guy, was incredibly patient with a table of 8 women more interested in chatting than ordering. Thanks, Guy!
Excellent brunch with tasty food and great service from Jesse. Can’t wait to go back
Came for brunch. 8 people - 4 adults and 4 young kids. Server was great. Food was good. Mimosa was delicious.
Great service and meal. My husband had Paul’s Ribeye and I have the reddish special. Both were delicious. Someone came by with a sample of the red bushmill Irish whiskey coffee and it was tasty so we ended up getting dessert and we each got red bushmill Irish coffee with dessert. Nice ambience, could actually have a conversation with my husband over our meal. We will be back.
