No visit to Indiana University is complete without lunch or Sunday brunch at the Indiana Memorial Union’s Tudor Room under the direction of IU Catering Executive Chef David Tallent (nine-time James Beard nominee). An IU icon, this restaurant offers you exquisite cuisine in a fairytale setting. The Tudor Room serves a buffet lunch on weekdays and brunch on Sundays and select holidays (alcohol is only available for purchase during weekend brunch). Talk to our staff if you or your guests have any special dietary preferences or restrictions.

                            Quality has diminished considerably since my last visit over 8 years ago. The same with value. No one was there at the omelette station, no more prime rib carving station, ratatouille was under cooked. Desserts were excellent. Service was good.

                            It’s a big holiday brunch which is always a challenge. This year, they didn’t seem ready. Tables lacking silverware, buffet serving stations messy, cold soup, and warm salads. Beautiful room.

                            Went for Easter brunch. Food was good, but I’m not sure I’ve ever had worse service. It was buffet style so all the waiter had to do was get us drinks and take our dirty plates away. We had to ask multiple times for coffee and finally I got tired of waiting and I just got up and got it myself 3 times and my wife’s twice. There were 6 of us and at one time we had 7 empty plates stacked up. We had to get our own water and ask twice for the check. Definitely not what I expected with the cost of the food. I doubt any of us will be going back.

                            The service, ambience, and buffet were excellent. We also enjoyed the music (piano). The whole dining experience was outstanding.

                            We always request a table near the windows if we are going to talk business. It makes it a much more comfortable situation. The dining room does get quite busy when larger groups are in attendance but the little tables near the windows still afford some privacy.
