Our heated outdoor decks provide a sensational dining experience with spectacular San Francisco bay views. Our outdoor deck is also dog friendly.
Inside is an incredible recipe of art and architecture, complemented with a resemblance of an old yacht. The ceiling mural was original to the Trident and painted by Dave Richards, creator of Janis Joplin’s infamous 1965 Porsche Cabriolet. On the outside deck, discover one of the most stunning restaurant waterfront views on the west coast, which boasts the skyline of San Francisco, Angel Island and Alcatraz. Everything was delicious but we ordered our ribeye medium rare and it came out more like medium well.
Muy rica toda la comida y el servicio muy bueno. Disfrutamos mucho la vista.
We sat on the deck because of the virus restrictions - it would have been our normal choice for seating. The food was delicious - the combination crab and shrimp louie is my go-to lunch at the Trident and I was not disappointed - very generous portions and quite yummy
Great views, service and food. Go here every year for my birthday.
This place is absolutely fabulous. I was a little worried that it would be too touristy and just all about the view. Absolutely not. There is a great view, no doubt about that. One of the best in this area. The patio is well-spaced and we felt very safe given the current COVID issues. The service was outstanding. And so was the food. We started with the heirloom tomato gazpacho. It was one of the best we have ever had. Sometimes gazpacho seems like eating a bowl of salsa. Not this one. Thick and very garlicky. Just delicious. Would order it again and again. My husband thought is seafood linguini ranked among the best he has ever had (and that includes lots of international comparisons). Great seafood to pasta ratio, generous on the pasta and worth the price. Very slightly seasoned with tarragon. My lobster roll was very good (authentic east coast style including the bun). Not the best I have ever had but very good. And we always judge a restaurant by what they do with salad greens. This place was perfect. High quality really fresh greens with an incredible green salad dressing. I will go back and beg for the recipe. Their house branded rosé was wonderful. The place isn't cheap but we thought it was very fairly priced for the location and view. We are locals now and will definitely be back. In fact, we will likely go back this weekend.
Very nice staff, and good food. My husband had salmon which was delicious and I had the crab cakes which had a nice crust and very nice sauce. Could have used a little more sauce however. Crab cakes were large.
Great food, great service wonderful views have been to Trident many times & will go back again soon plus Valet parking Highly recommend it !!
Good food, great views, a bit pricey, but worth it.
Incredible views of San Francisco Bay make the Trident the perfect place for a leisurely meal.
Food is great. View is great. Service has room for improvement. Can’t complain too much as it’s nice to have an outdoor place with reasonable social distancing to enjoy a meal during COVID-19 times.
Food and drinks were on the pricier end but food was delicious. They served Irish Coffees just like at Buena Vista Cafe. Carlos was our server and was excellent. We will be returning!
Soup was outstanding. Caesar salad was too big and not sure I like white anchovies. One of my friends had the bib salad and I wish I had gotten that. Overall, enjoyed it very much. Expensive though.
Terrible service. Terrible food. We will never go back to this restaurant.
Service is terrible, hostess saw we had a child with a huge stroller and still put as on the 2nd floor so we had to carry it ourselves. It took 45 minutes just to order drinks! Quality for the overpriced items is terrible!
Amazing views! We sat up on the top patio and it was wonderful. The food was good, the wine was good. We were very happy.
Visited to escape the heat, Sausalito has always been a special place for us, restaurant was great, waiter was a bit crass but serviceable
Amazing view and great service as always. The Louie salad was great except the prawns were a little weak. Next time will try crab.
My favorite place for decades. A little touristy of course but a lot of old charm. They did an amazing job with all the Covid restrictions.
Celebrated a birthday. A bit pricey, but the mussels and clams were perfectly cooked in a butter wine sauce that was delicious. I had a house specialty which is a pan seared chicken, perfectly cooked. The lobster boil was good, corn on the cob could have been cooked in butter and spices to give more flavor; lobster was perfectly cooked and a good size. Views are unbelievable and the patio had lots of heaters to keep guest comfortable.
Great food, great service and historic. I love going here to dine.
Great service! Friendly staff! Tables spaced approximately. Guests and staff observing proper infection precautions. Thank you!!!! FANTASTIC MUSIC!!!!!
It Worked out very well for our big day , and the weather was beautiful !
Had a great lunch, while conducting business near by!
The Trident has a lovely setting on the water, the food is VERY fresh and well prepared and the service is excellent.....a great place to dine!
Good seafood, so-so Cesar salad, excellent staff, but overpriced, as to be expected when you are really paying for the view.
You can't beat the view at the Trident. The food could be less expensive for what they are serving. It would be great if they changed the menu periodically. I have been going there for many years because it is a great place to take visitors to see panoramic views of San Francisco.
An old friend and I got together for a lovely lunch. Excellent experience 👌
The restaurant was perfect for my wife's birthday celebration. My only issues is with overall price. This is the reason we only come once a year. If the cost for dinner were to be more moderate Or if you were to offer some discount incentives for return customer or discounts like the once offered by the launtry's Select Club, we probably would be coming more often.
Stopped by for lunch, the view was spectacular. The service was good and the food was also good, just a little pricey.
We were a party of 3. Two had the sea scallops. They were perfect, tender and succulent. The third person had lobster risotto. Again, perfect. The service was excellent. All our needs were attended to promptly, and with a smile. Love this restaurant!
From the moment we walked in our party was treated nicely. They stored a birthday cake for us and sang to our friend. Food was delicious. View was spectacular. Overall, highly recommend a visit here.
I can only speak for the oysters and drinks. All delicious! The restaurant has beautiful views.
Food was great but the outside seating looks horrible compared to what it used to be.
The service was disorganized, with several waiters stopping by the table as they consented to take our order or answer questions. Someone needs to take charge of the dining room. The food was very expensive, which would be okay if the quantity and quality was equal to the cost. The Trident still has great ambience but should have been more crowded on such a beautiful day on the Bay.
Beautiful day at the Trident! We had lunch there (party of 4). We were seated outside on the porch. I requested porch seating when I reserved our table, and luckily they were able to honor the request. Overall: the food was excellent, the ambience was funky, fun, and the views from the porch were amazing! Love the retro 60s vibe. The service, however, was spotty. Our waiter was attentive at first, then he seemed to get busy and it took us forever to get the check and leave. He was definitely oversubscribed. But hey, that view sure went a long way during our wait. We came back after wandering around town and had Buena Vista coffees in the bar. Again, the service - the bartender was on the rude side. I don't know how you can tend a bar with that gorgeous view and manage to be surly. Seriously? Regardless, the coffees were a great way to end the day before we got on the ferry back to SF. This is a great place to take guests from out of town. You will not be disappointed. We will be back for sure!
Always a unique & pleasurable experience. Customer service 5 plus stars every time.
Loved the location and will recommend it. Hope to use again,.
It was a nice lunch.
Out sever was quite bizarre he looked like he was completely out of it
We order eggs Benedict eggs running and he brought eggs Benedict with fried eggs and completely cooked
Forgot my mother bread for eggs Benedict
It was quite a mess .....love the place but I don’t would not seat at this waiter table again
Not good sorry 😩
The service was horrible. Took forever for everything.
We lived in the area since 1984. We dined at this restaurant numerous, with and without making reservations. We always enjoyed the setting, food and the service.
This time, the reception desk staff was absent in providing anything close to good/gracious service. We didn't get greeted, we felt like we are inconvenience.
wish them best. it will long time before we return.
