   The Tobacco Company restaurant in Richmond, VA, offers a dining experience steeped in history and charm. Culinary offerings include Southern-inspired dishes such as fried green tomatoes topped with bacon onion jam and white cheddar pimento, blackened Cajun catfish over Carolina Gold rice pilaf, and a decadent pecan pie drizzled with caramel sauce. The restaurant also features live jazz performances, enhancing the overall dining experience.   While some patrons have noted occasional service delays during peak hours, the staff is generally praised for their professionalism and attentiveness.    We were in Richmond for a conference. We would not frequent this place even if we lived in Richmond. The food was decent - my husband's food was cold. The cocktails that I ordered were delicious. The server was very knowledgeable an enjoyed educating us on the rich history of the restaurant. The restaurant itself is super cool. If I was to come back, I would just enjoy drinks at the bar and have an appetizer or snack. There are lots of steak choices if that is what you are in the mood for.

   Great ambience at historic Richmond location. Food and service were excellent. Great place to stop simply for a cocktail if you want to view a historic Richmond building.

   The restaurant is beautiful. The bathrooms were extremely clean. While the prices seem high, the taste and quality of the food matched it. Service was impeccable. The staff were all incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything went smoothly. We cannot wait to come back.

   I've been there once before and had an excellent meal. This time, not so much. Wedge salad dressing was not very blue cheesy, rolls were like wonder bread, my jambalaya had 3 shrimp, which were ok, a lot of over-cooked chicken, a good bit of tasty sausage and a ton of pasta. I'd rather have half the serving and better quality ingredients. My husband had the meatloaf, which was dry and sauce, which was not great. The ambiance is cool, though. the server was good, but the food wasn't great. Maybe we ordered the wrong thing. Probably won't go back.

    We had a party of 9 celebrating a birthday. We drove up from VB to meet friends and family. We had appetizers, wine, cocktails, desserts and all the popular dinners. Everything was top notch! Ryan our server was patient and on top of everything. We were there for 2.5 hours. Could not be more pleased.
