The Tavern at the Inn - The Inn at Warm Springs
We made a dinner reservation after reading the wonderful reviews. It did not disappoint! Our meals were delicious! The staff was friendly and welcoming. We enjoyed our dining experience and will definitely be back when we return to the area.
The food and service were great. I had scallops and they were delicious.
A very nice place. Fine food, friendly and competent service, nice venue. What more can you ask for. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed our dinner and would recommend The Tavern to anyone. Updated interior was warm & welcoming..outdoor area looked wonderful! We'll be back.1
Relaxed evening, good food and service. Ate inside - porch seating was more family oriented.
Love the atmosphere and the energy of the owners and the team...always a great time!
Ashley is an excellent server. Brunch is definitely a winner. The strawberry crepes are wonderful. We love the new renovations. The Tavern is certainly a great spot to dine in Warm Springs. And we can't wait to go back every Sunday for brunch. It's the perfect spot.
This is our favorite restaurant. The food is great with a lot of variety on the menu. I love the beef goulash and the grilled caesar salad with shrimp. My husband usually chooses the steak with frites - delicious french fries. There's a good wine list. A cozy bar is a favorite of the locals. The owners and staff are some of the nicest and most accommodating people you will ever meet. The tavern at the Inn is a rare and wonderful place.
My family has a place in Warm Springs and we get down there from Maryland about 4 or 5 times a year and we love to dine out when we are there...this was the first time we dined at the Tavern at the Warm Springs Inn and it will definitely not be the last! Everything was delicious and good portions but not overwhelming. Everyone enjoyed their meals including our kids age 8 and 6. The food and wine is very reasonably priced. Can’t say enough good things. Can’t wait to go back next time we are in Warm Springs!
First trip back since re-opening after some minor renovations. Place looks nice, but not as nostalgic as before. Hope they keep the rustic history and vintage wood work that makes the place so unique!
The food was awesome as always! The chef cooked our steak and salmon perfectly (and I like well done salmon). The ONLY complaint is that they took the fried mushrooms off the menu!! They were one of the reasons we kept coming back.... BUT the fried cauliflower is still quite delicious :) Would nice to have both options.
I can tell the owner is trying for a more modern European style with the decor and menu, but hope he stays with what his customers keep coming back for. The music was a little too "electronica" for our taste, but it wasn't too loud. Something a little more laid back would be a nice accompaniment to the atmosphere.
Our waitress, Kim, was amazing as always. She knows our drink choices and special requests, and does it all with a sense of humor and a smile. She is the best!
We will definitely come back, it is a very special place. Hope it stays that way!
The food and service was second to none . we enjoyed the evening.
Back again for another excellent meal. We had both salmon and steak entrees and they were perfectly prepared and served. It’s an hour drive for to us to come here, but well worth it.
Time to receive main course was very long. Ñnnnnnnn
We loved our experience here! Food was fresh and delicious. Service was friendly and informed. We will be back on our next visit to Warm Springs!
We had a great dinner at The Tavern!!! Our server was attentive and the food was really good. We will certainly return when we are back in Bath County.
We tried the Warm Springs Inn for the first time for dinner and found it to be quite enjoyable. The historical significance of the building certainly complemented both the cuisine and service we obtained. Although neither were overly extensive, they had a nice wine list to complement their menu and we enjoyed not only are dining, but spending some time in the tavern which used to be the old clerks room in the original courthouse. We will definitely go back.
As usual, Kim was excellent and knows just what we like! The fried mushrooms were delicious. Alway
a great date night!
Wonderful dining experience as always!!! The atmosphere was perfect and the food was incredible as always!!! Thank you for a lovely evening.
Eclectic menu, wonderful food and great ambiance! We thoroughly enjoyed our meal! Must highly recommend the oyster and mushroom omelette and Eggs Benedict. The bread basket and pastries were also wonderful!
Beautiful and welcoming place. Food was fantastic and served at the same time to a large group. I have eaten before here and it's consistently great for lunch or dinner. They were able to add to our group as well... much appreciated.
Our waitress Kim was amazing as always! This was the busiest night with every table booked. It take some time to get our main entree, but it was nice because it gave us time to enjoy our appetizer and drinks. Which, she knew what we wanted and brought to us immediately. This place is very unique and the food is great. We enjoy the limited menu, but it means everything is super fresh. The fried mushrooms and salads are always my favorite!
Food fabulous! Atmosphere fabulous! Excellent!
The quiet historic atomsphere surrounded by antiques with beautiful scenery is so rejuenating. The mushroom, mussels, and scallop are my appetizers 3 favs. The salmon and steak are my entree 2 favs. The potato salad is awesome and my newest experience. The cheese cake and rum punch cake are my dessert favs. Culinary Team Great Job. My husband always enjoys his Long Island Ice Teas, Old Fashions, & Planters Punches. Bartender Great Job. Service is always attentive nd very knowledgeable. Servers Great Job.
My husband & I are repeat guests almost weekly now. 😃 ❤ 😃
Excellent food and service
Outstanding food and service
This restaurant has a charming atmosphere and a great variety on the menu for food and drinks. Our service was very professional and personal. It is a great addition to the area, with a nice bar, great front porch and outdoor area too.
good food, service pretty hazard, sat at inside table that is very different from last time when we sat in the sunroom
last visit was amazing, this one was Ok
ill try it again next time to see which way things are leaning, great or just Ok?
Very attentive. We celebrated our 20th anniversary and they had fresh flowers on our table with a card and provided champagne on the house for a congratulatory toast. Food was delicious.
Yummy brunch! Well worth the drive!
Glad we chose to eat here. The goulash and lamb chops were fantastic. The schnitzel was okay. The bakery was great in the inn!!
Great good and conversation.
The food wasn't horrible but it didn't merit the five star reviews on OpenTable by any means. Three thin, but good, "lollipop” lamb chops were served as a main course; typically the size of an appetizer. The Caesar salad appetizer, in contrast, was huge and enough for two. Apple strudel made with many layers of pastry should be crisp but was reheated in a microwave oven, essentially ruining the quality, and rendering it inedible. The Mushroom pasta main course was very oily and the green side salad was dressed with something sweet and watery.
Service overall was very good.
My husband just loved the goulash, which is rare for him. I had the salmon, which was fine, but nothing special. Our friends had a steak and the goulash, which she also loved. Service was very good and it was not loud and easy to converse with our friends. We had the chocolate cake; strawberry ice cream and sorbet, all of which were great!
My friends and I had come together for a girls weekend after almost 2 years. We had the shrimp both cooked perfectly and with a creamy texture. I had the surf & turf and the beef was cooked perfectly as was the asparagus and shrimp. Good portions with perfectly balanced flavors! Such a great find!!
Diamond in the rough. Elegant restaurant tucked in the mountains in Bath County VA. Food was gourmet and the ambiance was very nice. Wine prices were reasonable but I would like to see some higher quality wines but we enjoyed what we had. Great restaurant!!!
Food was fantastic. Service was great! It's a nice alternative to the restaurants at the Homestead - but just as pricey. It's pretty casual - so don't expect a "dressed up" venue. Definitely call ahead to confirm that they have your Open Table reservation. We called - and it took a bit of convincing on the phone to make them check. At first they said they didn't get it and that they were BOOKED SOLID for the night. Then, magically, she said "oh, there it is, it just showed up (we did our OT booking four days prior). Funny thing is, there were LOTS of open tables the entire time we were there - so much for BOOKED SOLID.
My wife and I had a wonderful July 4th dinner. Everything was perfect. We will be back again.
What a gem! We discovered the Tavern during a stay at the Homestead, and must say it was better than any meal we had at the resort for about one third the price! The food is Czeck influenced. We ordered the Sopsky salad, with feta, fresh local cukes and tomatoes and a delicious homemade vinaigrette. It was so refreshing and came with wonderful crusty caraway bread. My husband loved his goulash and I enjoyed the chicken schnitzel. Deserts were also homemade, including a multi-layered chocolate torte and various sorbets and gelatos. We would have returned on Tuesday night if only they had been open. Ambiance is simple and low key. There are no pretenses here, just well executed, delicious food at a great price. Don't miss this spot!
Stayed at the Omni but wanted to eat somewhere else one night. Found this cute place about 5 miles away. We were blown away by how delicious the food was. Good portions, friendly service and again, scrumptious!!! I would definitely recommend this gem
Such a lovely environment with wonderful food. Decorated with historic items. One of my top places to go in Warm/Hot springs.
