We were married at the Mayflower 29 years ago so it was and will remain a very special place to us. It is as beautiful as ever. The gardens are lovely to look at and the common areas are very pretty and comfortable. We had dinner in the Tap Room. It was a bit early, so it was quiet and quite comfortable. We had the cornbread to begin and it was a “10”. My husband had the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly and the fingerling potatoes were so, so good. I had the halibut, also cooked perfectly and the Swiss chard was delicious. The drinks were great and the service fabulous. It is a bit pricey but worth it. I highly recommend both the Tap Room.

This may have been the best meal I've ever had. It's definitely top 2 and the other place is Gordan Ramsey's Hell Kitchen at Foxwoods. I ordered the steak frites and it was absolutely delicious. I surprisingly ate it all! On top of that, my server, Kathleen, was very kind and attentive. She recommended the toffee nut ice cream which was amazing. The personal touch of writing "happy birthday" in chocolate made for a memorable birthday!

A Truly Special Dining Experience at The Tap Room at The Mayflower Inn The Tap Room at The Mayflower Inn has become one of our go-to spots for a refined yet warm dining experience. As soon as you drive up the manicured drive, the sight of the lush lawn leading to the Shakespearean garden sets the tone for what’s to come — a place where beauty and care meet in every corner. The farm-to-table concept shines here, with ingredients that feel handpicked from the garden and thoughtfully prepared. The seasonal dishes always impress, offering flavors that feel both fresh and comforting, perfect for any occasion. Whether you're enjoying a simple salad or something more indulgent, you can taste the quality of each ingredient. It's clear the chefs care deeply about their craft. What makes The Tap Room even more special, is the service. Jenya, Jonathan, Jillian, and Kurt consistently go above and beyond to ensure every meal feels personal. Their attentiveness, paired with genuine warmth, adds an extra layer of hospitality that you don’t often find. Whether it’s recommendations, a special request, or just a friendly chat, they make you feel right at home. Every visit to The Mayflower Inn feels like a little escape — both for the palate and the soul. It's a place that we will continue to return to, and each time it somehow feels even more special than the last.

What a delight! The restaurant boats a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The service was wonderful, from the minute we met with valet, coat check anf server, all staff members were friendly and helpful. Food was excellent, we enjoyed the spaghetti with lobster, the roast beef, risotto and Brussels sprout salad. Deserts should not be skipped, we ordered 2 and especially enjoyed the butterscotch crème.
