The Sweet Spot
Always a great time when we come here. The staff is awesome and the food is great!
Food was great but it was crowded. The space for seating is to small. I use a walker. Every time I got up to go to the food line everyone at the table next to us had move their chairs up. It was a hassle for them and made me feel bad because I had to disturb them
Very good as always. Never had a poor meal and have been here numerous tims in the past.
Service was slow but they were short staffed because they are struggling to hire people like everyone else.
Food was good!!!!!
Our server was amazing and the hostess was very friendly and polite
The food was delicious, fresh, and beautifully presented! Highly recommend!
We are blown away by your positive words, Sarah! Thank you for your recommendation! We can’t wait for your next visit.
This was our first visit to The Sweet Spot. We had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend the restaurant. Our waiter, Ben, was the absolute best!
Thank you for dining with us, Kathy! We are so glad to learn you had a fantastic first-time visit and Ben took excellent care of you! Looking forward to serving you again.
Great service and ambience. Steak was good but not as food as what you get at the local steakhouse. Would probably order something different next time.
Thank you for your kind feedback, Chad! We are thrilled to learn you enjoyed the staff and ambience!
Valerie was a great server. Preston is still top chef
Thank you Judie for taking the time to leave us a five-star review! We are so glad Valerie took wonderful care of you and you enjoyed Chef Preston’s cooking!
Everything was great, however the server told us the price of the special wrong, it was $7 more and then he failed to tell us that there was a $5 charge to split a meal. We didn’t ask for it to be split, we just said we are splitting our meal, my husband and I. He was a fantastic server, but he just failed on those two items! We love the sweet spot and will be back though!
Thank you for the four-star review! We appreciate your business and look forward to your future visit.
On our way to an event at Prairie Pines, two friends and I wanted to have a nice dinner before the concert. We all live on the east side of Wichita, so we asked our friend, Rose for recommendations. We cannot thank her enough for telling us about "The Sweet Spot." It is a lovely restaurant, the service was outstanding and the food very delicious! We often go to events at Prairie Pines and I think we have found our west side dining location. Thanks Rose!!
Thank you for dining with us, Marcia! We're so happy to learn you enjoyed the food and our staff took wonderful care of you. Looking forward to serving you again.
Don’t let the location fool you nor judge the “book by its cover”, this is a class act eatery! Excellent wait staff, calming ambiance and delicious food. Generous wine/cocktail menu and a nice variety for the main course. Priced as you would expect for fine dining. We’ll be back!
Wow, AZDA! We are blown away by your amazing review! Thank you for your kind words. We look forward to your next visit.
This was our first visit to The Sweet Spot. We were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary! Everything was perfect! The food choices were great from our 8 year old grandson to Papa who is almost 67! We appreciated the table being ready for us away from general crowd. We will be going back!!
This place was wonderful! A great place for a romantic date!
Perfect spot for a nice quiet dinner. Low light, low volume. Food is great and presented beautifully. Pricing is perfect as well.
The food was very good, We felt it was a bit overpriced for the amount of food that we received.
Pleasant meal the food was good
We sat at the bar to experience the excellent service of Robert. My favorite Spot is The Sweet Spot
The Sweet Spot is a wonderful dining experience. The food and drinks were delicious. The service was impeccable as always. This is our go to place for an enjoyable relaxing dining experience.
Thank you for the wonderful review, Deborah! We are so happy to hear you had a five-star dining experience! Looking forward to see you on your next visit!
Yummy food and great service! Nice quiet atmosphere.
Thank you Rachel for taking the time to leave us a five-star review! We are so glad you had a wonderful experience!
Valerie was terrific and Chef Preston did an excellent job on sea bass
Thank you for five-star, Judie! We're delighted our staff took great care of you and you enjoyed the sea bass!
The Sweet Spot was very busy and understaffed, however, the service was excellent, food was very flavorful, hot, and the buffet line continually filled. My son and I really enjoyed our brunch.
Susan, thank you for the kind words and the five-star review. We are glad you and your son enjoyed the food and service. Looking forward to serving you again.
The Sweet Spot never disappoints. The food and service are exceptional. It is a good value, especially if you catch some of happy hour.
David, thank you for the delightful five-star review. We are glad you enjoyed the food and service. Looking forward to serving you again.
Great experience, food, service and environment. Will go again. Only complaint would be the pair of crabcakes as a special appetizer being $18! C'mon, nine bucks for a single crabcake?!
Thank you for your kind words, Chris! We are glad you enjoyed the experience, food, service and environment. We will pass your review to our management time. Looking forward to serving you again in the future.
The Sweet Spot did a wonderful job on a really busy Mother's Day! Thank you for accomodating my elderly parents!
Mother's Day Brunch Buffet was very good. Service was outstanding. Hot entrees were excellent, and the breakfast potatoes, waffles and omelets made to order were perfect. But, some of the cold salads, breakfast sides, and hot sides (larger cut potatoes, roasted veggies) were overdone. Desserts could have been better as the cookies and pies were clearly store bought and just cut small/thin to have enough to feed everyone.
We do prefer the Sweet Spot to the Ya Ya's brunch these days because it honors its reservation system, provides gloves for customers to wear, and all restaurant employees are masked appropriately. Ya Ya's does not do any of these, and has a useless reservation system because it continues to pack large groups in up to the rafters, shoulder to shoulder. The Sweet Spot has a much better ambiance. It's relaxing and enjoyable to eat there on a Sunday because you don't have a 20-minute wait to get your food, and the price is just right.
Thank you for your four-star review, Suzanne! We are glad you enjoyed Mother's Day Brunch and the service. We are always working to improve and will pass this on to our management team. Looking forward to serving you again in the future.
Brunch on Mother's Day is not fine dining. While I am curious about their normal operations, I won't return. The brunch was typical fare, but not of the caliber of fine dining I expected. Large family groups in my area were too loud making the dining experience tense. The floor around my table was sticky. Prices were higher than shown on web page--I attributed that to Mother's Day, but it was misleading. I could see that the servers were working hard, and it was evident yesterday were short staffed. In the absence of other elements of fine dining, the staff shone despite their limitations.
Carina, we are truly sorry you didn't have a five-star experience at brunch on Mother's Day. We are disappointed in ourselves and will pass this on to our management team. If you would like to discuss your experience further, please call us at 316-260-4999.
Calamari was delicious and really good sauces. Filet was perfectly cooked. I have always had a great experience here.
Thank you for the stunning review, Catherine! We are delighted the calamari and filet were to your liking. We look forward to seeing you again. ▲
The food at Sweet Spot is always amazing. Every dish is beautiful, gourmet quality, and reasonably priced. The staff remember you and treat you like family. It's a nice neighborhood kind of place, but with decor and atmosphere suitable for a date or special occasion. It's also the kind of place you can feel comfortable going to by yourself. I eat here often.
Thank you for your kind words and five-star review, DenverFoodie! We are delighted you enjoy our dishes and staff. We look forward to your next visit.
The food was excellent. There wasn’t a huge menu, but the items were diverse enough in nature that most would find something they would want to eat. The toffee bread pudding was amazing. The restaurant was clean. The ambience was good, acoustically it was a little loud for intimate conversation, but was perfectly fine for dinner with friends.
We booked on Open Table indicating it was a birthday and when we arrived there was a birthday note already on the table. Nice touch.
Wow, the food is out of this world!!
A bigger dining room would be nice with small nooks.
I took my wife for her birthday and was very happy overall with the experience. I will note that after being sat by the hostess our waitress took a long while to circle back around and check on us throughout the night. My drink did run dry on 3 occasions but it did seem they were understaffed for the amount of patrons in the restaurant. I do not fault our waitress but management more so. After putting in our food order it did take what seemed like a very long while, about 15-20 minutes to recieve just our appetizer of steak frites, again I attribute this to waiting staff being overwhelmed. Upon arrival the frites was delicious! Our entrees of 2 ribeye steaks were cooked to a perfect medium for myself and medium rare for my wife, the seasoning was excellent and sides were very complimentary to the dish. The waiting time on our waitress for drink refills, bar beverages, and food is what lost the 5th star for my review but as stated before I attribute this to management of the staff not the staff themselves. Well done Sweet Spot staff!
We really enjoy the food and drinks at the Sweet Spot. Great place for couples or a night out with friends!
The Sweet Spot is always a great place to go. Food is good and the service is great!
The atmosphere was absolutely fantastic! Hostess and server were very friendly and kind. The server did take a long time to get back to our table in between visits so it took a long time to even get a drink, but we were still pleased with him. The food quality and quantity were definitely not worth the price. I chose the special for the night, which was a Strip since they don’t normally have that on the menu. It was very fatty and grisly throughout the meat. For the amount of food and quality I do feel it is very overpriced. I have been to many area restaurants and experienced much better food for significantly less.
Have gone often. Great service from Ben! Steady main menu with a good selection of off menu specials. Wife lives the Snow White Martini.
Scott, thank you for your five-star review! We are delighted you're pleased with our staff, menu selection and drinks.
The food and drinks were delicious. Although, we came on a very busy Friday evening and it was so loud I couldn’t hear my friend talk. We ended up asking for the check and a to go box and sitting in the car to finish our food. I would definitely recommend going on a less busy night and definitely make reservations!
Dee, thank you for your kind feedback. We appreciate your understanding. We hope you dine with us again soon.
We love love love the Sweetspot!! Food and staff always go above and beyond!!! Their Sunday brunch by far is the best around!!
Really enjoy my first experience at this restaurant. The service was amazing and the plate presentation and taste of the food was superb.
