   Excellent as ever. The new veggie roast - tomato and almond bake - was super tasty.

   Does what it says on the tin - so to speak; pub grub, very satisfactory (but then I only ever have fish & chips!) service is always good and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Its my local and I'm really glad to have it so near.

   Booked online said they didn't get the booking although I showed them confirmation. Made it out like it was my problem their systems weren't linked properly. Service was slow. Dessert came 20 mins after my hot drink which was supposed to be together. Came out the brownie was surrounded by a pool of ice-cream not good.

   Ambience was extremely good, the menu was lovely except no Gluten Free bread to go with the pate. Our server was a lovely lady and she couldn't do enough for us. I was very pleasantly surprised as previous visitors had not been very happy. Thank you very much .....Olwen Bird.

   Unfortunately The Swallows Nest had not received a booking from Open Table. This had happened in the preceding days too when other diners who had booked thro Open Table arrived to find no booking had been communicated. Happily The Swallows Nest could and did accommodate our party without a booking.

   1st of all didn't have our reservation , luckily another family member had double booked. 2nd had to send back my starter as cold in the middle, second one was also cold in the middle so i just ate around it. 3rd the crumble wasn't cooked it was wet and stodgy (microwave job i reckon) . Have eaten at the Swallows nest many times and this is the worse meal i have had. You have lost our custom as we won't be eating there again.

   Good food, great atmosphere and quiet enough to be able to hear each other. Good value too as I had been emailed a voucher! Win win!

    Lovely venue - wouldn't hesitate to go back. The service was excellent and the food delicious.
