   Overall very good. Food very good, location great. Manager went out of his way to give us a canal side table for our wedding anniversary. Well worth it ! Great ambience. Only niggle is we felt hurried by the staff. Otherwise excellent

   The food was amazing, however massively let down by the service. We were rushed and as soon as we sat down and ate our starters and main course working 30 minutes, however we were then ignored for an hour before managing to ask for the bill. We would have liked to have stayed for desserts and another drink.

   What a lovely place to eat on the river, real holiday atmosphere. Busy but well organised. Very nice food and we were able to stay a little later until they needed the table which we appreciated.

   If you are a fish lover, on a summers day there is no better place to eat than next to the canal at the Summerhouse restaurant. The setting is beautiful, the wide choice of fresh fish impressive, service impeccable and there is a good wine list. We had oysters and lobster, all delicious. I have never had a bad experience at the Summerhouse and can confidently recommend it to all.

   Beautiful restaurant and setting. Had the vegetarian breakfast which was delicious. Service from 2 waitresses wasn’t great, didn’t know the difference between an Americano and a flat white. Asked for sourdough instead of brown sliced which seemed a big ask. The other staff were lovely.

   We were seated promptly, had ample time to make our choices from the menu, ordered. The food came so quickly it was very impressive. And it was all absolutely delicious!! definitely coming back. Loved it. And service was great too!

    It was a busy day and we were told that we could stay only 2 hours maximum which itself was ok. However, it was very annoying that the staff kept asking whether we have finished the food- every 5 mins after an hour have passed. We enjoyed the nice food and would have liked to enjoyed and clearly we had not finished yet. Without it, it would have been nice.
