**** DON'T HAVE A PARTY OF 6..GIVE US A CALL AND CHECK SEATING AVAILABILITY** What does STUBE mean? In German, "stube" means both a living room and a cozy restaurant that serves beer. Our building, built in 1883, is the original station master’s house for Palmer Lake! So, unless you are enjoy a meal on our lovely patio, you'll probably be eating in the station master’s stube, which has been turned into a cozy beer-serving stube as well!

The casual German restaurant has many recipes inspired by Gustav’s, Michael and April Fullman's (the owners) favorite German pub and grill in Portland, Oregon. German cuisine is also part of April's heritage as she recalls her paternal grandmother's authentic German dishes during Christmas.

If ordering sausage platter, indicate what the sausages are. Also, please let customers know that the Polish Kielbasa is spicy (I'm not use to spicy kielbasa).

The food was very good, price was moderate. We had good service by friendly wait staff. Inside only has 4/5 tables, very intimate, but I understand there is more room behind the house. A nice little gem. Look forward to eating there again.

It's getting chiller outside so the main dining room is very small but cozy. The food was warm and good. It is a very unique restaurant. And you have to love cheese fondue on a cold evening paired with wine or one of the many beers offered.

Very good German food. Somewhat limited menu. No spaetzle on the menu that I saw but great schnitzel. Very cramped seating inside but roomy heated tent outside seating. Definitely recommend.

Interesting menu, unusual very crowded seating; a “locals” atmosphere; friendly staff, but understaffed. The outside (heated [outside heaters] seating area was untenable.

Wonderful tyme... outdoor dining in the cozy covered patio was outstanding. Service was spot on and everyone was as attentive as could be. We'll be back for Octoberfest and many more tymes to come (order the bloody mary which really is a meal unto itself! ).

The owner was also our server--absolutely wonderful personality, perceptive service, very nice! Food was classic German, also excellent. Small inside seating is not quiet but it's a great, reasonably-priced place for a casual meal.
