The Stravaig a contemporary kitchen & cocktail Bar with added function room within the kylestrome hotel. Serving up fresh local Scottish cuisine. In the heart of ayr town centre and private parking. With our cosy bar (the cookie) and restaurant wether it be for food or a cocktail in hand with friends we are here to provide you with top service for any occasion. Beer garden to front and to back for those summer days events. We also have an 80-100 capacity function room with bar for hire.

This was by far the best dining experience we had in Ayr. Set in a quiet neighborhood, the ambiance was upscale but without being stuffy. The chef knows what they are doing and has put together a fabulous menu. Our food was excellent. Clair the manager, was absolutely charming and treated us like VIPs. Prices were very reasonable. Check them out!

Excellent service really enjoyed the place, but just wasn't sure how much is actually cooked in the kitchen, a lot of it looked it had come from a package, and the steak was a bit meagre in size.

Excellent meal, had the set menu which was delicious, highly recommend the haggis starter which was amazing. Staff were great, friendly and helpful.

Had the loveliest meal at the Stravaig, the food was delicious and the atmosphete was lovely. A big thank you to Claire who looked after us all night and even taught my 6 year old nephew a new dance move, he was very impressed. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend this restaurant. Thanks Claire

Excellent food and a good, varied menu and wine list. We visited at 5pm on a Saturday night, the restaurant was fairly quiet, we found that from start to finish, the service was very good, attentive without being intrusive. Would highly recommend and will definitely return.

We had a good meal and service was fine. I was. disappointed that when you have a voucher for £100 and you spend £54 of it you do not get a credit. When i asked if I could have a credit I was told that I could have a drink at the bar if I wanted to use the balance. This may well be the new normal but it does not sit well with me. Out of principle I can take my business elsewhere.

our experience was lovely - we had a very delightful waiter who usually worked in the bar so he was very helpful with the cocktail list but also very engaging with the menu - lovely experience and will be back see you in a couple of weeks

My wife and I had a fantastic experience at Stravaig! We enjoyed the Old Fashioned and Verdejo, and the Big Stravaig Burger along with the Mini Mac & Cheese were delicious. The service from Kaitlyn was excellent, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We had a wonderful time and would highly recommend Stravaig for a great meal.

We had a very disappointing meal at this restaurant last week.I ordered shrimp fajitas and the waiter brought out monk fish with no prior choice or apology and only acknowledged it not being shrimp when I asked , the guacamole that accompanied it was processed and inedible and the naan bread that came with my husbands curry did not resemble naan bread and was thin and cardboard like .This really was a very poor meal.
