With our cosy bar (the cookie) and restaurant wether it be for food or a cocktail in hand with friends we are here to provide you with top service for any occasion. Beer garden to front and to back for those summer days events. We also have an 80-100 capacity function room with bar for hire.

I booked this restaurant after reading the excellent reviews. Arriving with high expectations we were not disappointed. As soon as you enter you are greeted with a very warm and friendly welcome, seated at a round table which was excellent for the six of us. The food was really good and the portion size was unbelievable (positive not negative) The tempura starter size was similar to other restaurants main course potion. All the mains were excellent and nobody was disappointed. All the staff incredibly professional and attentive but still managed the right level of friendliness. After our meal we were not ‘rushed out’, allowing us to sit and enjoy the excellent ambiance. Next time we are in Ayr we shall be booking again. Thank you to everyone for a memorable and enjoyable evening.

We had a delightful dinner at Stravaig. Claire provided excellent service and was very helpful in explaining menu items encouraging us to try traditional Scottish foods which were delicious. We highly recommend Stravaig.

Great atmosphere,ambience Service beyond excellent,very attentive but never intrusive. Food choice and quality absolutely excellent. It’s a 10 from me!

Great food and service. Went on a Wednesday and discovered there is a mid week menu, 2 courses for £22.00. We ended up up ordering from it and the al a carte.

We have been to stavaig a few times and always had a great all round experience Last night all the food was great , couldn’t have been cooked or presented any better as always However service was very poor from waiting for menus from being seated , drinks ordering ( where we had to ask for more drinks) to getting the drinks was very slow)

Lovely quiet place to eat . Very convenient for us as we were staying in the hotel above. We also had breakfast next morning, really enjoyed it too. No complaints
