The Stirling Dining Room and Lounge is the Malcolm Hotel’s casual dining experience featuring Alberta’s finest local ingredients. In addition to an amazing meal, enjoy a variety of craft beers, in-house prepared cocktails, and one of Canmore’s best wine lists. The dining room provides incredible views of Policeman’s Creek and the surrounding mountains, and the lounge offers comfortable private booths and walls of TVs – a perfect place to cheer on your favorite sports team. Both the dining room and lounge are ideal locations to hang out with friends and family, and enjoy Chef Graham’s culinary creations.

Friday and Saturday evenings, The King’s Table in the Stirling is the fine dining experience at the Malcolm Hotel. Chef Graham and our food and beverage team will host an evening you will not soon forget.

The restaurant setting and ambiance was great walking in, so I had high expectations right off the bat for the food. We ordered the truffle fries, gnocchi, and scallops. The truffle fries were crispy and the apoli was great, but the gnocchi and scallops were disappointing. Tasted like the gnocchi were cooked, left out, and then reheated in a microwave. My scallops were small and not really worth the price. The only dish to come out hot was the fries, the scallops and gnocchi came out warm at best. Service was great but food was disappointing

It's ok. For whatever reason, we were served our appetizer, salad and entrees all at the same time. The Rock Crab appetizer is meh. It's served on bread that was soggy. The Rock Crab was muddy, bland tasting. The Caesar salad was overdressed with dressing. If you like your salad dripping with dressing, you'll enjoy this. The eggplant entree is a generous piece of eggplant that is either coated or cooked in a sweet sauce as it was sweet. The eggplant itself was a meaty, firm texture which was good. The accompanying baby potatoes seemed like they were cooked and held on a warming pan for awhile as they seemed a tad stale. The vegetable medley was perfection as the veg was still firm and had good crunch.

Birthday dinner for my wife with friends. Great setting on the deck. Fine service and, overall, good food BUT, do not order the scallops! An expensive dish simply not worth the cost. Other than the scallops, a pretty good night. Thanks to the staff.

Beautiful dining experience. Brought my family from England who were visiting. I was looking for an intimate dining experience and The Stirling met all expectations. We enjoyed the live music during dinner. Our server, Faith, was very polite and treated each one us beyond what we expected. Faith looked us all evening and answered all our questions. Thank you Faith!

Nice new spot in Canmore. Nice atmosphere. Great staff Only complaint is that the menu on OpenTable is not updated. Seems like the restaurant was completely overhauled. OpenTable menu has it looking like a high end steakhouse. And that is no longer the case
