The service there is always hip and fun. Top shelf but the food is average at best. I've been going there for 25 years and it's not a top notch steakhouse but I guess it's the best steakhouse on the mountain. :)

We had a wonderful meal at the Steak Pit at Snowbird last night. We had Four in our party and everyone commented on the wonderful food we had. We had a great server named Beth. Beth made sure we had everything just right and was on top of everything. We will always come back to the Cliff Club to stay and make our reservations with open table for our Steak Pit dinner. Great Experience!

The cuts of meat were very good, but lacked flavor / seasoning. For the price we expected a little more. Most of our steaks were over cooked (a little, not worth sending back as we rarely do unless really bad). Service was excellent and ambiance is beautiful (we sat outside). Cheesy potato was good, but again lacked flavor. We were all adding butter and sour cream to try and spruce it up.

We go to the Steak Pit every year for my husband's birthday. The food is always incredible. The steaks are so flavorful and tender. Our waiter was outstanding! He was so sweet and kind. We really enjoyed our experience there.

It's been a few years since I've been to the state pit, but the food was marginal at best with all the good steak restaurants out these days. I would say they were below average and way overpriced for the quality. The lobster was tough. The asparagus undercooked and tough on the ends. The outdoors is dropped dead. Gorgeous! The waitress wasn't bad but seem to be stretched. We didn't even order dessert because it took too long for her to come back and we just decided to go. That's it

Excellent ambience and service, the bread and salad were excellent. We ordered the sirloin (medium rare). Mine arrived well done and bone dry, I didn't even finish it, and have contemplated giving it to my dog when I got home. Pretty disappointing for such a pricy meal. We had a sirloin the night before at 71, which was much better, consider going there instead.

Everything was beyond delicious! We had the bacon wrapped scallops, mushrooms, ribeye, filet and chocolate avalanche. We loved it all!! Service was genuinely kind. It was a perfect evening for our family of 4.

We had a lovely experience last night at The Steak Pit. We sat on the patio and it was the perfect temperature. We got the filet mignon and both of ours were cooked the perfection. We also really enjoyed and salad and asparagus. Our waitress, Heather, was great! We will be back!

The Steak Pit is a hidden gem inside Snowbird Ski Resort that I had never visited with all my trips to Snowbird. Located on the lower level of the Resort Center this is a nice dining experience at the resort. We arrived early and were lucky to score some outside seating that is only available first come, first served. This enhanced our experience upon arrival. We dined outside underneath the Snowbird trams and adjacent to the creek. The ambiance was so nice. Tonight's special was filet mignon oscar. WOW. A juicy filet mignon with a full lobster claw meat, bearnaise sauce and served on a bed of asparagus. Everyone in our party ordered the special because it sounded so delicious and it truly was delicious. Dinners here are served with a loaf of grain bread and the Steak Pit salad bowl with their homemade house Caesar vinaigrette. They have a full wine and cocktail list and I recommend the High West Old Fashioned to start the evening. I can't believe I hadn't discovered the Steak Pit in all my visits to Snowbird. Definitely a nice dining experience with great ambiance. I'll be back again.

we have been coming to this restaurant for over 40 years and it remains our favorite of all the restaurants here at Snowbird. The food quality, portion size, service, and ambiance were all outstanding.

Our ribeye and filet Oscar were very mediocre…fatty and gristly.. The salad used to be in a cold bowl with unlimited salad, but this time it was as an arm bowl, warm salad and salad hey charged us an extra xtra $20.00 for an extra bowl.

Overall I enjoyed my experience. The ambiance was nice and the restaurant facilities were clean. The server was very nice, polite, and professional. The quality of food was good but was over priced. I have worked in the restaurant industry for almost 20 years from dishwasher to district manager. I would recommend this restaurant to others but warn the about the prices. I don’t mind dropping 300 dollars on a meal but expect the food quality to be better.
