Step into the limelight of The Stage, where the drama unfolds with a spectacular programme dedicated to Champagne and life’s great delights. Set across three acts, our Champagne bar in London serves a Champagne breakfast, Champagne afternoon tea with house-made patisseries, as well as a Grand Finale of cheese, charcuterie and more. The star of The Stage is our reserve collection of Champagne – choose a signature favourite from the Champagne trolley, or opt for a delicious Champagne cocktail. The Stage also hosts regular live music performances to accompany your dining and drinking experience.

Located with Soho and Covent Garden on the doorstep, The Stage is the perfect place to enjoy pre- or post-theatre drinks. We are just a few minutes' walk from iconic West End theatres such as Harold Pinter Theatre, Garrick Theatre, Apollo Theatre and many more.

                          Overall a very pleasant experience. Delicious food and lovely teas. The area by the bar got very busy due to an event and it seemed to take away a lot of the attention from greeting and serving us. It took about 15 minutes before we even ordered our tea. For the price payed, and the fact we were staying at the hotel, we found it slightly disappointing to have to wait so long for this and to get our orders in for further teas. The music was wonderful, however.

                          I am a regular at The Londoner but never tried afternoon tea so I thought I would. The food and service was excellent as expected. My only criticism were the ambience and noise. I was surprised the afternoon tea was at The Stage because 1) it is by the lifts so there’s porters and guests constantly walking past 2) it is by the “communal” seating area so there’s guests hovering around and waiting to check-in or just lingering 3) there was a event so the people attending the event were crowding around us being loud, taking photos, and causing a distraction 4) on top of this noise as the pianist so it was hard to talk and listen to my friend I am sure there are many events so this wouldn’t have been a one off. The pianist was amazing but it was an extra level of noise we didn’t need. Because of the location of The Stage, it just happens to be the general congregation area or meeting point for anyone so that creates extra noise. In my opinion the afternoon tea should be at The Residence where it is blocked off by the public and away from the reception area. At The Residence you can still hear the pianist and it’s an area where people mostly will be having a drink or something to eat and not causing a distraction.

                          We enjoyed our afternoon tea and found the staff very helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel was lovely and the food was very nice. The only downside came at the end of the meal when we didn't get the 30% off that is advertised on their website.

                          Delicious food, together with warm, friendly service and tranquil surroundings (you'd never know you were part of the hustle & bustle of Leicester Square) combined to make this the perfect afternoon out.

                          Matthew & the other staff gave us some of the best service we’ve ever received! So charming, delightful & couldn’t do enough for us. The food was great & very plentiful, in fact we couldn’t finish the desserts! A wonderful treat.

                          There are so many places to go for afternoon tea in London but we chose the Londoner for it's location, positive reviews and to be honest, they were offering a 20% discount special! The atmosphere was lovely with the comfy lounge chairs, low lights and quiet surroundings. The sandwiches were good AND very plentiful (6 square plates, EACH holding 9 small square sandwiches!) for the 3 of us. We loved also that we could try so many teas (some places only offer one). Two different scones and we each were offered to choose 2 desserts each from their beautiful display of 6 desserts (so yes, we tried them all)! So good! Highly recommend the Londoner for afternoon tea!

                          Service was outstanding. The food was delicious. The only small part that was tough was the noise level of the performer - it made it difficult to speak with one another. It wasn't completely overpowering but it was just a touch disruptive.
