A beautiful quintessential English pub with a small drinking area and cosy restaurant.

Our new Head Chef Matthew Marsh runs a daily changing specials menu using the finest local suppliers and ingredients including our own butchery in Salhouse for excellent locally sourced meat.

Alongside the daily changing menu, we also run our “Pub Classics” menu, which contains household pub staples.

Friendly welcome & lovely setting on a hot summer night. We weren’t shown the specials board initially & ordered food but when specials board shown we were able to change & it was worth it! Food was fab & overall staff were lovely. Would definitely return if in the area again

A lovely Sunday lunch. The pub is tastefully decorated with original features retained. The staff are efficient and very friendly. Well done to all the team at the Stag. We will be back.

Our Party of four enjoyed the whole experience. Food and service and venue was very good and I can only recommend. Will definitely be going back.

Unfortunate to choose the Skate which was off. To be told by the chef it was ok was insulting. Wish I'd thrown up at the restaurant and not when I got home. Don't bother, over priced and rude.

A very warm welcome from the moment we arrived. Great service very friendly staff and the food was fantastic lovely to have a specials board along side the menu. Value for money would definitely return.

We visited for Sunday lunch to celebrate fathers day. The team were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The food was fantastic and the ve ue is beautiful. Tha k you so much for a very memorable Fathers Day that my Dad won't forget

Lovely place but the food let it down. Hard roast potatoes and meat not great. If it was a good roast you don’t mind paying a bit more. But this was a poor roast so felt very expensive for what it was. 2 small potatoes. Only one dish of veg to go round 4 people. The staff were great. Also we booked for 3.45pm and got asked to vacant the table just after 5. No mention of a time limit when we booked. Really ‘could do better’.

Spot on. Had a Roast on Sunday few weeks back, decided to go again last night, brilliant food....staff are a real throwback to days gone with right attitude and smart appearance, well looked after, great food. Will come again.

We visited this pub whilst holidaying on the Norfolk Broads and walked from Salhouse Broad. It was a really easy 30 min walk. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was delicious with good portion sizes and it had a lovely atmosphere. Wish we lived closer but would definitely visit again if in the area and would highly recommend.
