   After a pleasant previous visit, My partner and I thought we would try the Sunday carvery. Once again greeted by outstanding members of staff who are always smiling. We went for the 2 courses option, despite being full up from the delicious carvery, we tucked into some lovely warm sticky toffee puddings!

   Came in to have dinner with my partner, was greeted by a lovely young member of staff. She was quick to seat us and take our orders with a smile. The food was above and beyond our expectations and enjoyed. Would recommend people to visit and give it a try again as it's definitely going back in the right directions from previous months.

   Can't fault them for food in anyway shape or form. Was hot well presented and will definitely return. Staff were lovely and welcoming and even made a playful pun on arrival. Can't fault them. Didn't catch their names but it was the manager and a young female.

   Really disappointed after our precious visit. Changed management and chef I would say as the would was nothing like the last meal we had about 2 months ago at the Stables. Long wait for food, had to remind staff to take our order. Clearly short staffed. Food was small portions and Luke warm. No bacon on the hunters chicken and cheap shop brought coleslaw served in a tiny pot, not homemade as the menu stated. Will not be returning.

   We arrived at the pub after booking days in advance, only to find the door was locked and the lights all out. There was a sign on the door to say there had been an electrical fault for the previous 2 days and that the part they were waiting on should be delivered the day of our booking. I tried calling the pub to find out what was going on, but no one answered, I left an answerphone message to ask why nobody contacted me to cancel my reservation and nobody contacted me back! My parents travelled for nearly 2hrs to meet me for lunch here and the pub didn’t even bother to let us know our reservation was cancelled or to apologise afterwards. Very very poor!

   The table was booked for Sunday at 1pm for 4. We booked on the Saturday online. Received confirmation. Arrived Sunday to find the pub closed for 2 days due to an electrical error. No one contacted us to make us aware. Following this I emailed the pub direct to make them aware of the error and enquire why they had not contacted us or even allowed us to book given the sign indicated they were aware they would be closed at the time of booking. I never received a reply from them. Poor service. We had travelled 30 minute drive and had to find somewhere else for lunch.

   Can't believe there was no coke no lemonade. Had to decide what dessert you wanted when you ordered carvery plus dessert, before you even ate. Carvery is next to ladies toilet. Layout for queuing needs attention. This used to be our favourite place for Sunday lunch. Sorry won't be going again.

   The food was good quality and the staff were mostly helpful. It was a relaxed atmosphere to spend a few hours on a Sunday afternoon.

    The food was pretty good. The pig in blanket was over done, one member of staff on when we turned up and their booking system was down. No syrup in the Pepsi and no one asked if we were ordering food. The value was great and a help yourself carvery is always nice but it felt a bit shambolic that day. They were on the back foot and weren’t ready for when the punters started pouring in which happened quite quickly. It’s a pretty good roast dinner
