Food was lovely, everyone had something different from the menu and we were all enjoyed what we had, servers were attentive and helpful, when it became too cold to continue to sit outside moving us indoors wasn't an issue.

The food was poor and the ambiance not for me. However the most disturbing thing was a wheel of fortune on the bar, with a place it could stop called wife beater. When we mentioned the inappropriateness of this to two male bar staff on the way out, it initially seemed like the thought we were joking, then tried to justify it by saying that's what Stella's called!! There is no justification for this given the number of women and children that are traumatised by domestic abuse. I won't be back and certainly couldn't recommend the place.

Went to the smoking goat for the 1st time on Friday night with pals for food. The food was absolutely delicious (loved the indie dog); cocktails were amazing and service 1st class. Will definitely be back on my next visit to Ayr

The first table we sat at was very small for 3 people and there was a brick sticking out that would have been annoying whilst eating but we asked to be reseated and it wasn't a problem. Food in here is just amazing and my friend asked for a special that had been on a previous menu and it was no problem for them.

Have loved coming here many times but last night was a big disappointment. Booked a table a week ago to come for food and the quiz. Was 20mins early for my table but was aware I couldn't order food straight away as I was early. After being there 50mins and browsing the menu, was told the kitchen was now closed and I couldn't order food. I was quite disappointed by the level of apology made by staff tbh. I was allowed to leave and bring in takeaway food but this was not the evening I had planned or look forward to. Quiz was as much fun as every but overall experience was not up to scratch.

Had a good night out at The Smoking Goat with with a couple of friends, it was busy when we arrived and there was a good atmosphere, there was plenty to choose from on the food menu and when it arrived at the table it was lovely and tasty, the drinks orders were taken at the table but the service was fairly slow in getting them from the bar to the table, other than that we had a lovely evening there.

Food and service amazing as always... Me and my friend went for a catch up and food ..both had the gluten free chicken tempura which was delicious and sides of loaded fries ...the cheese and bacon loaded fries are the best .. Service was good and everyone friendly and helpful as per usual.. Love this place !

First visit and most certainly will be back. Loved the quirky decor. Food was so tasty and the cocktails were to die for. Lovely chilled happy friendly staff. Only went for lunch and still there 4hrs later enjoying the cocktails and ambiance. Highly recommend

Brilliant place with great food & outstanding live entertainment. However, the service let it down. We were waiting more than 10minutes before anybody came to see if we wanted to order drinks. Then we were left another 10minutes before they arrived. The waitress didn't even take our food orders at this time, we had to wait further to order food. The service was very slow and a bit of a let down considering there were 6 members of staff standing around talking to one another.
