   While our dinners were very good, a lot of things need improvement. Food took very long. After a 20 minute wait our server apologized for the long wait and said it would be 5 minutes more. After 15 minutes our dinners arrived. There was no draft beer available, only light domestic beer. Chardonnay was served at room temperature. Restrooms are in need of a thorough renovation to remove layers of dirt. First and last time for us at ShellShack.

   The food was pretty good. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the service. Our waitress messed our order up a few times and we had missing items. The first issue was the appetizers. My friend ordered fries when the server got our drinks. After a few minutes she came to get our order and I ordered Fried calamari and my bf the fried pickles. The calamari came out 5 mins later while the fries hadn't. it took about a bit over 15 mins for the fries to come out and when they did they were cold. And we never got the fried pickles. Second issue was the main food. We built our own boil with extra sides. when we got it I had 3 different sides missing, I had to ask to get it separate. My friend got the date night, which is a bit pricey (understandably) when she recieved her food she noticed the king crab missing. When she asked the waitress if they were king crab legs, the server said she "forgot" to mention there wasn't any and that they were being replaces with a cheaper item. That seems like something important to mention when ordering a $140 plate. Our server only had 2 tables from what we saw. Us and a table that was already there when we got there. She checked on them more times than I could count while we were only checked on when she had to bring our messed up orders. I get if it was a busy day, but in the whole restaurant there were 8 tables that already had they're food and 3 servers. It's nothing against the young lady I still tipped her 15% because I work as a server as well. I usually do 20%-25% on any tab. Maybe it was just a bad shift but it was a bit disappointing. Just glad the food made up for it.

   Coconut shrimp - no flavor Chicken Tenders - absolutely zero flavor Calamari - decent Buffalo chicken sandwich - no flavor someone was really holding back on the seasoning over $100 for 4 people down the drain

   Our waitress was very sweet and checked on us regularly. The food was fantastic, although very pricey.

   Went to Shell Shack in Mesquite for the first time with my family for Valentine’s Day and it was a bad experience. It was first time so we had some questions but the waitress would never give me a straight answer. She hardly checked up on us. I wasn’t sure if drink were free refills til I had to call her over and ask. We understood it was going to busy but it was our first time there and didn't feel welcomed. The we had an issue with our bill that we saw once we got home. We left a tip cash although we didn’t get good service. But I checked my checking account and extra $50 was added to my bill. We tried calling the restaurant but they were busy which we understand. We left an automated message, waiting for a call back. They didn’t call us back. I had to call them the next to get an answer. The manager put me on hold then told me he would call me back. Come to find out the waitress had added a tip herself. The manager claimed the waitress confused tables and that’s why she added. So instead of giving an apology to me they made an excuse. Didn’t feel welcomed and felt taken advantage of. And I have already put in a contact form and never got a response or a phone call.

   Our waitress Skylar was attentive. She offered suggestions and the food was phenomenal…Thank you.. her spirits made the Mardi Gras celebration awesome…

   VERY GOOD SERVICE FROM OUR SERVER, HOWEVER WHEN SHE WAS BUSYAND ASKED FOR MINOR THINGS LIKE A TO GO BOX, THE OTHER EMPLOYEES WERE NOT FRIENDLY.

   When gratuity is added it seems as if service is a hit or miss. Meaning the attentive is ok but not at expectation of what the gratuity is paying out.

    Jordan the waitress was very unfriendly, only came to our table once to see if we need anything, she took forever to get refills or addition drinks.
