Lovely lunch.I met two girlfriends and we all enjoyed the meal and the service was excellent

The Seahorse was excellent, especially considering that they were fully booked so the reservation made through OpenTable had been cancelled but not communicated to us, so we had driven from Epsom to Guildford to be told there wasn’t a table available for us! The staff at The Seahorse were very apologetic and did manage eventually to find us a table. So would I recommend The Seahorse? Yes, wholeheartedly. Would I recommend OpenTable? No I would not!!!

Our visit was ok - but despite booking with OpenTable, we weren't expected and weren't made to feel very welcome. When we showed them the booking email they found us a table. After that the service from the waitress was good.

On a very busy mother’s day - great service, all very helpful staff, food excellent and loved the venue too!

Great restaurant food fresh, service a little slow but worth the wait

Four of us went for lunch on a Monday. The restaurant was three quarters full and I can understand why. The choice of food, the good itself and the service were excellent. The young man who served us excellent, friendly but professional. He knew the menu and made re ommendations. The food fame reasonably quickly and was beautifully cooked. It really was an excellent lunch

Arrived at the Seahorse. They knew nothing about our booking made on line on 7th November. Restaurant was fully booked for a corporate Xmas lunch. They kindly made calls for us and found an alternative restaurant that could fit us in. Will not be using Opentable again very disappointed.

The warmth coming to this restaurant is exceptional, service, food, ambience, could not fault this lovely gem of a place.

Service was truly dreadful. An hour wait for a main course. Had to ask for the bill three times.

Fixed price menu on some items (marked FP on menu) for lunch is very good value.

I hD the fish finger sandwich as did one of my friends. Chips we overlooked and greasy. Sandwich was toasted ciabatta which was over cooked as well and difficult to eat. We complained. Waitress apologised

Evening out with friends. Had the Tuesday set price including a bottle of wine between two. Very good value.

The seahorse has been refurbished since our last visit & a new menu

Our visit was lunch time meeting with friends ..very nice decor & menu ..however the food was not good , very dry ,the two gammon steaks were dry & very salty ,which i could not eat ,,the service was very slow ..sadly we will not be meeting at the Sea horse again

Very disappointed. As a customer who frequented the Seahorse on a regular basis prior to its refurbishment and menu change I am incredibly disappointed the standards have slipped so far. The food was less than mediocre; scallop starter over cooked, 2 x vegetable tarts under cooked, burger bun burnt and the roast pork can only be described as like chewing on leather. This was after waiting the best part of an hour for our first course.

What makes it even more disappointed is that when confronted by the poor standard, the waitresses response suggested we not the first to be so disappointed since the refurb and made no effort to remedy the situation.

Entrees were amazing but the roast was a bit dry

Wiring staff need to be shown how to pour wine and have some knowledge of the menu !

Excellent dinner on valentines night, friendly attentive staff, cosy atmosphere, great food. What more do you need? Recommend for an enjoyable romantic evening.

We regularly eat here when in Guildford because we like the food, the service and the parking.

Our waitress was lovely - great smile, very helpful and sensible. My friend's fish and chips was excellent but, as a vegetarian and therefore limited in my choices, I had the roasted tomato soup accompanied by the breaded Brie. I couldn't eat the soup because it was so unpleasantly "smoky", certainly not my idea of roasted tomato. I did mention it to a waiter who was apologetic, but I thought I'd put it in the review because I think other customers might dislike the strongly smoky flavour of the soup.
But we did, as always, enjoy ourselves and feel that the pub is a lovely place to meet friends.

I had the beetroot quiche the sauce of which was too sloppy for my taste.
Drink + mini pud is an excellent idea- bigger than I was expecting!

Excellent lunchtime menu with Fixed Price options that are very good value. This restaurant is streets better than the average in this part of the world.

This is one of my favourite restaurants and I go there often and it never fails to delver

Great Sunday roasts! Yorkies as big as your head. We visited between lunch and evening sessions, so it was relatively quiet. Staff were a little slow but very pleasant. They'd run out of cauliflower cheese, which was a shame.

it was a lovely meal, but we were a little disappointed that even though we booked we were not given a table in the restaurant, we had to eat on stalls which was not comfortable ...
