The Scarlet Bee
We ordered and greatly enjoyed the food. We introduced to order additional items. We were totally ignored by our waitress who only had one other table. Tried to find her in vain. She spent over 20 minutes chatting with the other couple and then disappeared. We sent to the bar and requested our check. The waitress finally came by with our check. When we questioned her about her absence she was extremely defensive. A very long story. Eventually she apologized and praised the restaurant. Too little and entirely too late for

Dancers stomping overhead during dinner hours on Wednesday nights😟
Food was superb, especially the toum & shatta dips. Service was friendly and attentive even with the restaurant going from a couple tables to completely full during our meal. Prices & value are very solid. We left extremely happy with our experience & would certainly revisit when in the area next.
This was the first time we had been to S Bee. Great experience. Cauliflower shawarma, and chicken shawarma were delicious, as was the fattoush salad. Apparently they were short handed in the kitchen, and there was only one waitress, while the owners were cooking. Had I not heard the waitress tell someone, we never would have known. We will be back!
The food was well prepared and the taste was as expected, the tapas like plates were delivered in the right amount on time making a wonderful dining experience. As well, the cocktails were perfectly made. Like we said at the restaurant, why had we not been here before? The place is now one of our favorites.
Bartender was great.
The restaurant has a very causal neighborhood feel and I wish it was my neighborhood was closer. We would quickly make this our go to local place if we lived on the north side of town. The food was delicious, it’s not an extensive menu, but all the choices were appealing and the two starters and 3 sharing mains we chose were all great. The grape leaves were especially good.
We always love the Scarlet Bee! Everything is good!
We absolutely love this place! Highest of recommendations! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We really enjoyed our visit to Scarlet bee last weekend. Hadn't been on a night they have the jazz band. It was great! Our food was excellent and our server, although very busy was attentive and did a nice job. Look forward to joining them on another Friday evening sometime.
The chickpea sliders were outstanding. We really enjoyed our dinner.
We made this last minute reservation on Valentine’s Day amazing live music on Friday evening and the food is fresh and very flavorful. Perfect place for a casual date night with exceptional food.
We really enjoyed our first time at The Scarlet Bee. Very casual - so much so that we weren't greeted and we just seated ourselves, but a server soon made their way over to greet us. Each of the dishes we had were pretty awesome! Will return!
We had a great experience at the Scarlet Bee. The food was delicious and perfect portions. We ordered several different items so that we could share.
Food and crafted drinks are excellent!
The only drawback was the noise from the flamenco dance class upstairs. Otherwise, a very positive experience!
First off, the restaurant was cold and the first 20 minutes we endured stomping from the dance upstairs. The server was very nice and efficient. The food was good, but very pricey for what you got. With all the restaurant choices in Asheville there is no need for me to go back.
Music way too loud
Our first time visiting the Scarlet Bee. It was one the few restaurants open on Christmas Eve and we were visiting from Raleigh. The ambiance could use some jazzing up - it's pretty plain Jane. But the food was very good! Hummus was great and they give you lots of pita. I had the filet mignon kebabs and they were very tender and tasty. The Mediterranean fries were very good and enough for the whole table. Can't remember what my friends had but they were both very happy with their choices. We would all go back again.
Always good food and great service. A bit too loud for us though the band was fun.
I love the kebabs! You gotta try them. Delicious pomegranate walnut salad. Lots of flavor and great service.
Scarlet Bee serves excellent Mediterranean small plates that are unique in Asheville. Service is prompt even on a busy Saturday night. My only issue is that the restaurant is a bit cold both in temperature and decor. However, that does not deter us from coming back often.
Loved this place. Brought some out-of-town friends. Shawarma and Sfiha were delicious (personal favorite) although our group shared everything so I got to try 3/4 of the menu. Lavander dream cocktails was delicious but highlight of the night was Turkish coffee with baklava.
Thank you and I will be back!
I don’t know why the reviews say this place isn’t kid friendly- one of our kids happily ordered off the main menu and the other had the kids’ chicken tenders and fries. They both cleaned up the hummus plate pretty well. It was a fabulous dinner for us and our in-town guests. The dinner portions were generous (we were pretty hungry upon arrival so we definitely over-ordered). The desserts were less generous but certainly tasty and a lovely presentation (even when ordered to go!). Service was great, music was cool- a good selection and at a nice volume to enjoy it but not so loud that it creates a hindrance to conversation. We will be back!!
This meal was my second time in the scarlet bee and I went to take a friend visiting from Israel for familiar food. He loved it and remarked on the authenticity. What I didn’t like was the band. The music is fine but just so very very loud in such a small space. We yelled at each other until finally leaving for dessert elsewhere.
Wow! Sweet little restaurant. Spring fennel soup and chicken shawarma are so tasty! Will definitely come back to this place. Best Mediterranean food in AVL.
Cassidy , our server, was excellent! Cute place. The food came out quickly and was delicious. They worked around some of our dietary restrictions and everyone was mmmming and aahhing through out the meal. Will definitely return.
Excellent meals, vegetarian friendly, excellent service, and reasonable prices.
We had a reservation on Open Tables. We arrived on time. There is no hostess. A big board at the entrance says, “Seat yourself!” We were confused as were many other people. We walked around and saw a table with a piece of paper on it with my name and the time. We sat down. Other people wandered around and tried to seat themselves at tables with pieces of paper with someone’s name. The server was hustling around. There were only 2 servers. One welcomed us and verified my name and that I was at right table. Other people were asked to leave their table because it was reserved with the piece of paper. One couple went to the bar instead, waited, bar tender ignored them and they left. One couple asked to move from reserved table walked out. It was chaotic and disorganized. The service was slow and menu limited. The band was nice. Honestly, they need a hostess. I just feel they could do better by hiring more staff. Food was pretty good.
Met friends who were traveling through Asheville. Picked The Scarlet Bee from Yelp list of restaurants with reservations available when we needed. We were pleasantly surprised! Shares a lot of the items in the menu and everything was delicious.
Food was interesting with good flavors but not too rich to be overpowering. Staff were pleasant and informative
A group of college friends and spouses enjoyed the unique dishes and the live music. The service was excellent!
Loved the food, the drinks and vibe of the place. They had a fantastic band playing that I wish I could have stayed all night to listen to.
I love this food. I had difficulty picking what to eat as I could have chosen everything on the menu. Prices were reasonable and portions medium. We ordered the cold plate appetizer and each had an entree and dessert. It was too much food--- I noticed most people only had 2 courses. I was not a fan of the band that night, but I'm picky about music. I can't wait to go again.
Very unique food choices all well done. Good service too
We love Scarlet Bee and have recommended it to many of our friends and co-workers. Unfortunately, we are seeing that the need for additional waitstaff and someone to run front of the house is being neglected, so we observed two tables of people who left without being served and tables not being bussed. This is heartbreaking to us, as we LOVE the food and think the servers are TERRIFIC! It's just that they desperately need a front of house manager to make sure the entrance is tidy and welcoming, windows clean and tables bussed, as well as more than one server to meet the needs of an increasing number of patrons. Our fear is that people will have a bad experience before ever having the opportunity to taste the delicious food. It's not a reflection on the kitchen or on the waitstaff, but of the overall management to not tend to these important details for a successful business. In a town with so many new restaurants opening all the time, we are really rooting for Scarlet Bee to get its act together soon and be a success.
Delicious Lebanese inspired foods that are real treats. Be forewarned - plenty of garlic. Everything tasted fresh and the presentation was nice as well. Lots of cocktails and beers to choose from too. Prices are reasonable.
We last went on a Friday evening and had the extra treat of an excellent jazz band - 42nd Street.
Not our first visit and certainly not our last.
It is our favorite North Asheville dining and cocktail spot. Never disappoints.
This restaurant has amazing food and drinks. The staff very nice. I absolutely love the 42 street band on Friday nights. One of my top favorite restaurants in Asheville
Fun place to eat tapas! A little loud on Friday night with the live music however the music was really good.
