   The food was luke warm when it arrived we waited a while for our 2nd round of drinks we ordered coffees with the small desserts these arrived when we had finished our coffees just wondering if it was a new chef

   We had the three course set menu, everything was nice, except the lettuce in my starter which was brown around the edges ! Drinks were quite expensive as well, otherwise good value for money.

   Birthday lunch was a real letdown. Poor boil in the bag type food and very poor quality thick black coffee. We will not be returning.

   Service was good but the main course was bad. Ribeye steaks were supposed to be cooked medium but were served up over well done. In fact they were burnt and crispy. Rump steaks were a poor cut and were full of grissel. However a reduction in the bill was an acceptable form of compensation. Cutlery was dirty and even the replacement cutlery had to be replaced because that was also dirty. On a positive note the waitres was a credit to the management and coped well under the circumstances. Party of six will not be going back.

   Wanted to eat with the family and be able to bring the baby in his pushchair it was lovely that we could all eat together with space around the table

   The food was gorgeous, really lovely surroundings and the service was very attentive even though the team were clearly busy. Would highly recommend!

    The Sandpiper was fine but they had to squeeze the 5 seats in because unfortunately the booking from Open Table was never received by them. This could have turned embarrassing because it was Mothers Day and two mums were present.
