Since opening in 2007, this eatery loves offering modern food from its historic location. The tapas-style menu at The Rumor Mill affords the opportunity to be adventurous and try new things. Options include a brie sampler, roasted Brussels sprouts, beet salad, seared salmon, tuna Mediterranean, smoked swordfish, Kobe sliders, rabbit ragu, beef tartare and bison steak. The desserts at The Rumor Mill are made in-house and include Trinity cream and bread pudding. A decadent option is the chocolate peanut butter tart which is designed for two to share.

A friend recommended this great little place hidden away in Ellicott City. The fusion cocktails were fun and the small plates varied and delicious. Our waitress, Ashley, was enthusiastic and offered great service. We were on the second level adjacent from a window that looked out on the cobblestones between buildings -- for a second I thought I was on a European vacation! I’ve never seen an advertisement for this restaurant. It’s a gem!

Incredibly impressed by this place. The food was amazing, and there are lots of unique menu items. I definitely want to go back to try more of them. :) Same goes for their cocktails as well. They have lots of infused liquors, as well as drinks that use them. Highly recommend this place.

Great food. Excellent Service. As we were leaving, the chef/owner greeted us and asked us about our meal and experience. Extremely nice touch. He spoke about the various dishes we had for dinner in detail, especially his inspiration for them.

The food was tasty, but very small portions - over priced for the value. My desert was supposed to be an apple crumble, but it was more like apple mush and way too sweet. Service very friendly.
