   The restaurant closed as I arrived with my mum for her birthday. Apparently there was a fire but I never got no prior warning of the cancellation so was left standing outside the restaurant with no other alternative and a spoilt birthday meal. I have still yet to receive an apology I anything from the restaurant which is a joke

   Went to the Rum Kitchen for a date. We were immediately shown to seats (though we wouldn't have minded a wait). A live DJ set was played throughout adding more of a community feel to the restaurant. The cocktails were fab, with a variety of options. Portion sizes were money worth. I would have liked a few more vegetarian options.

   Terrible service, waited ages for someone to come over to get my order and then had to get up from table few times as there was no staff around. I recon school kids need to be trained a bit more before they being put in front of the house...

   We have visted kingly court a few times before the refurb,our first thought was "this is bigger&brighter,than we sat at our usual spot at the bar andwe felt it kinda lost that cosy feel,the service was good,staff very friendly.recieved our first cocktail(reggaemeister,ldd)tasted as great as they should... but hey whats this,1/4 in a massive crack in the class,ok got that replaced,fine,issues happen.than we had the red snapper,mine was great,good size,tasty,the right amount of everything,my girlfriends on the other hand,was shocking the fish was less than 1/2the size and the quality was terrible,i suggested that it may be the tail end,but i had a bite..honestly,i couldnt even chew it..than we ordered 2 more cocktails,waiter said"no,worrys,ill sort that for you know"....20minutes..nothing..in the end we spoke to the bar staff,and they dealt with it straight away.great.execpt that the waiter didnt even ask if everything is ok,than we couldve asked where the cocktails were..normally we wouldve stayed beyond the happy hour but we felt we had to leave before that,as we do love the rum kitchen and normally the ambiance,the atmosphere we can make ourselves,we can get used to the setting but fir the food and the drink i think theres room for improvement,untill than,it pains us to say that we will be thinking twice before we visit again

   We've visited here a few times and always had a great experience, however on our most recent visit the service was pretty poor. We had to wait ages for drinks (asking on more than one occassion) and the food was not up to it's normal standard. This place is definitely worth visiting but be prepared for long waits.

   Went here after looking at the great reviews. The food was tasty but we were served our starters at the same time as our main dishes. We must be getting old as we found the music way to loud to hold a conversation without shouting. Friendly staff although they forgot to bring our bill after asking for the second time, it looked like the manager had to remind the waiter. Overall although the meal was lovely but the service and the loud music wasn't what we were expecting. Would visit again, maybe not on a Saturday night.
