   Delicious festive prix fixe dinner, interesting choices. Very pleasant service. Large noisy group at the next table.

   First off The langham is beautiful and every staff person at the hotel and the restaurant and the bar was so nice and helpful. Of course, the food at the Royce was outstanding from the complimentary amuse bouche mushroom tea and bread to the amazing loaded baked potato to the perfectly cooked steak. The only problem was i did not have enough room to eat everything! Will be coming back!

   I dined with my family who was visiting from out of town at the Royce on 12/20/24 at 6:30 pm. Being this special time of year, we chose the Royce for its upscale atmosphere and exquisite menu. Unfortunately, my experience was marred by a series of missteps that were hard to overlook, especially given the high price tag and mandatory service fee. First, the ambiance was undeniably impressive, with a sophisticated design and an intimate setting. However, the highlight quickly faded when it came to the service. Despite the hefty service fee added to our bill, the service was inattentive at best. Our waiter seemed distracted from the moment we were seated, frequently disappearing for long stretches of time, leaving us with empty water glasses and unanswered questions about the menu. It took 30-40 minutes to receive our cocktails. At one point, we had to flag down another staff member just to ask for basic items like bread and butter. Even after making polite requests, it took far too long for the waiter to return to take our order, and when he did, there was no apology for the delays or acknowledgment of the service issues. When the food arrived, the appetizers and sides were beautiful and flavorful, but the lack of attentiveness from the staff really put a damper on the experience. The steaks lacked quality and were not prepared to the way in which we requested. Not once did our waiter ask how we were or what we needed. Never did anyone even check if we were simply enjoying our meal.  I had hoped the service would match the caliber of the meal, but it fell short. For a restaurant at this price point, where a service charge is already included for a party our size, I expect much more—especially in terms of attentiveness and overall guest experience. In short, the poor service left a sour note. With so many dining options available, I’m not sure I’ll return—especially when paying such a premium doesn’t guarantee the level of service you'd expect.

   Lovely restaurant at the Langham Hotel. Our evening was perfect with great friends. Our server was attentive and our meal delicious.
