   Overrated. Food was just OK, don't want to pay top dollar for "just ok." Hostess acknowledged we were celebrating a birthday; waiter did not. Not verbally or dessert-wise. After leaving the bill he disappeared for an egregiously long period of time.

   Top rated chef.  They offer many different cuts of beef from several different ranches, covering several different countries. Certainly unique.  This is not your run-of-the-mill steakhouse, this is fine dining. The service is impeccable.  Very good wine list. Great selection of half bottles - not something you see in most restaurants. I will definitely be back!

   Positives: Good, friendly service. Pork Chop was decent. Ambiance is nice. Negatives: The steak was terrible -- no flavor, no bone-in fillet option, nothing interesting in way prepared. The bordelaise sauce was watery and lacking in flavor. The mushrooms were soggy and served in a watery broth. With steak restaurants that do a 10x better job on steak (at lower prices) there is no reason to ever return to this place. Bourbon Steak, Mastros, STK, and even Flemmings do it better...

   The steak was terrible. They had to recook it three times, but then it tasted so bad that they said the chef would make a new one and come out and apologize. He never made a new one and he never came out to apologize. The bill was on them, but I wish things had been better and I had paid. It was a special occasion too. The server was amazing and I left her a big tip, but disappointed in the management and chef!

    I felt like I was in a cafe in a fishing village in Southern Italy where nobody cares about time or getting things served properly. It was more than 20 minutes from appetizer to entree and we had to ask repeatedly for our dinners. It was simply awful. No coffee, no dessert, just had to rush out. Never again -- and that means never.

    The steak was great, but the sides were overpriced for how unremarkable they were (especially the Mac n cheese). Would come back for a cocktail and an app but overall experience was unimpressive. There are many better steakhouses with better value in Los Angeles.

    Best filet mignon prime we’ve ever had with the bordelaise sauce!! Oysters fantastic with a New Zealand Sav Blanc. Complimentary dessert being newlyweds was the crowning touch! Ben was the best waiter!!

    Went to Royce for 30th Anniversary dinner as we stayed at the Langham. The restaurant was very nice and the staff most attentive. Seated quickly as we had reservations. Our waiter acknowledged us quickly and took our drink orders. The food courses came out in a timely manner. We Lobster Bisque and Crab Cake for starter. We had the Branzino and the double stuffed pork chop as our main dishes. We also ordered a side of corn polenta. All the food tasted very good, but we were not too fond of the Branzino. Our evening was closed out with an Anniversary dessert from the restaurant. Overall, we had a great dinner. Not too sure if we would return though.

    We went days ahead to check out the tables for a birthday reservation and the concierge reserved a table for us days in advance for the birthday but the night we showed up ON TIME the table had been given away and we had to wait 45 minutes for the table. Other than that the food and ambience was very nice.

    We expected a good steak and atmosphere, and we got so much more than that. The food was inventive, well balanced, and delicious. The charred salad with pomegranate was just heaven. Great steak and all the accoutrements. Congratulations to the chef! If I had a criticism, it would be that the space was very cold--and we aren't the only ones to think so. The waiter had a lap blanket on hand. Having said that, put on your sweater and go. It's so worth the trip.

    The food at the Royce rises to the level of fine dining and exceeds expectations. This is our second visit and we were not disappointed. The service was excellent, attentive but not intrusive. Our server's name is "Kristhy" and she contributed to the warm atmosphere of the Royce. Her suggestions regarding the menu and cocktail choices were very helpful and displayed a good understanding of the meats and beverage offerings. It is expensive and a special occasion restaurant, one which we would not hesitate to return. The ambiance was quiet and conducive to those of us who prefer to hear our dinner companions' conversations rather than shout above an "energetic" din.

    The ambiance is exceptional. The restaurant is on a beautiful property and the dining area is lovely with big padded chairs and roomy with space between tables. It was full of all types of well dressed people but the noise level was pleasant. They only have valet parking which costs $20. The restaurant validates for $10. When we got to the restaurant there was no one there to seat us so we had to wait a bit. After that service went smoothly with our waiter who was friendly and attentive. The food was good but not exceptional. I didn’t expect portions to be so big so for 2 people we ordered too much. I got the roasted bone marrow appetizer which was disappointing. It was all bread crumbs and bread with a small amount of bone marrow. The bread crumbs were sweet and it just didn’t go. It wasn’t horrible but the bone marrow got lost in all the bread. We also got a Caesar salad as a starter which was abundant. Again I love Caesar salad but this one had pieces of orange and fig in it which I didn’t think enhanced the classic flavor. It’ was just okay. The wine selection is impressive. The main course we had the prime filet which the waiter said to try. They have a few meat choices but we went with that. The meat was good but not very hot by the time it got to our table. We got truffle fries and sautéed mushrooms on the side. Both came in abundant portions. Both were good but not amazing. We were stuffed and did not have room for dessert. Would I go back? Maybe, but not any time soon.

    Everything was perfect. We ordered the Hamachi for the first course and I'm still thinking about how much I enjoyed it, I can't recommend it enough. We both had ribeyes with baked potatoes...the steaks were awesome and the baked potatoes were exceptional. Definitely will go back!

    Hadn’t been in a long time. Just okay. Nothing spectacular. I know a good bar when I order a whiskey sour and when I saw it coming with a maraschino cherry instead of a Luxardo cherry I knew it wasn’t going to be any good. And it wasn’t. The TapRoom serve’s excellent whiskey sours and it’s in the same hotel. Bummer. Also, when a table orders cold seafood, like oysters, don’t bring them out at the same time as the bone marrow (which was on the cold side). Fries are good. Didn’t love the Brussels sprouts with the egg mixed in. Idk probably be a while before I go back….
