   Very pleasant and relaxed atmosphere on a Saturday afternoon with excellent service. Great food and I woud highly recommend the Scotch egg starter. The variety of main meals that we all had were cooked to perfection. Kudos!

   As it was Mothering Sunday, we had the roast which was one of the best roast meals we had had in a long time, with fresh vegetables and good meat. All the usual accompaniments were served with the dish. The potatoes and Yorkshire pudding were particularly tasty. The free sparkling wine to celebrate Mother's Day was a nice touch.

   Good pub with nice food and sensible sized portions. It can be a bit noisy.

   We had a fantastic night at the Royal Oak celebrating National Pie week. There was a small issue with our food but it was dealt with quickly and professionally. The special pie was delicious. Adam, our server, was very helpful and friendly and deserves special praise, but everyone was lovely. We are certainly returning and have already marked National Pie week in next years diary.

   This pub just does almost everything well in all aspects. It is not 'stand out' - it doesn't have that unique selling point - but it is a really good pub with good food and good beer.

   Enjoyed a delicious Sunday Roast at this lovely pub. We really enjoyed our afternoon, the food and service were very good and the pub is lovely and bright with a great atmosphere. We will definitely eat here again.

   Lovely freshly cooked food BUT portion sizes much smaller than last visit..the fish piece with 'Fish & Chips' more like a large fish finger! ..and having to pay for chips as an extra with a burger? Staff lovely though and very attentive.

   Great service, lovely pub, music level bearable for a party of old fogeys (although certainly not quiet, better than many equivalent places). Food not cheap, but fresh and hot and quick and friendly service.

    Delicious food - really enjoyed the fish & chips. Pleasant evening; but noise levels were quite high as we were sat next to a group who were pretty loud - but not sure that staff could really have done anything about that . Been to this pub several times, and it’s great so will always return!
