    Food, service and ambiance was specular. We dined inside and had a great view of the kitchen. Wine options were local and international, great options. Specials for dessert outstanding and a wonderful surprise to end the meal. Prices were more than deal given quality. And wow the quality - well done chef and team!

    Great patio experience for lunch on Canada Day! We spent time with friends celebrating the holiday over a lazy lunch. Great food and didn't feel rushed in spite of a good crowd at the Hotel / patio for Canada Day. We are regulars and will definitely return.

    When my husband tasted the polpette appetizer he said it brought him back to childhood Sunday mornings. Delicious! The pickerel and the agnolotti were off the charts. Highly, highly recommend. Service from our server Val, and Chef Ponzo's creations made our dinner in PEC the best we had.

    Our experience was very good. It took a bit of time before getting our food but we had the most amazing waitress was new to the place but she was amazing. She took time to explain us the menu, she came many times to see if we were alright. Only comment for the restaurant it would be fun to have brunch during long weekends.

    Don’t bother. Food is completely mediocre (salad was too salty, brie was in the omelette past its prime, etc.). Senior staff are pretentious but ridiculous. Wait staff can be nice and the patio is pleasant. But it doesn’t make up for the rest. Lots of other better options in Picton.

    I've previously had a handful of meals on the terrace and thoroughly enjoyed. This evening didn't quite get to the same level. When I made my reservation the terrace was unavailable so I booked a table in the dining room. When we arrived the terrace was open and seating was available. I asked if we could be seated on the terrace and we were accommodated. My dining partner was very happy with her cod meal on a bed of vegetables. I ordered steak frite with a side order of vegetables. The steak arrived without the frites. I was told there was a mixup - not sure how you mix that up. I was comped a small order of frites. The steak was OK but not at the standard of my previous meals at the Royal. I'll add that we had Manhattan Nero cocktails and these were excellent

    Chef’s tenure at Le Select brought me back there time and time again. I was expecting equally as well executed dishes at The Royal. Sadly, things missed the mark for me. The tartare was fresh but a bit flat. The cod was delicious but the hollandaise was a bit too liberal and tended to be over powering. My partner had the lamb pappardelle and that was very good but below expectations. The oysters were on par. Overall, felt the value for money wasn’t there. The service was excellent. Very friendly and attentive.
