    Lovely place to have a date night. Food was nice, the only thing that was a bit slow was getting the bill at the end, we had to chase the lady for the bill, after waiting 15 minutes and asking once already.

    As always the food & service was excellent. As it was a nice day we were able to sit in the lovely outdoor space. We had visitors with us who were very impressed with the Royal. Thanks

    Excellent food I can highly recommend the Sunday Lunch, My Mum who has dementia got fixed on the light bites which aren't normaly available on a Sunday but this was not a problem, they made her what she wanted, staff were exellent, we shall certainly be going back Thankyou.

    We haven't been here for a while & we were slightly disappointed with our visit this time. The pub atmosphere etc was great it was just food. I ordered a Jambalaya, that came with Feta, Sun Drenched Tomatoes, Chick Peas & Kale. It was rice based & tasted lovely but came lukewarm & not enough to be worthy of £17. I had eaten it in 5 minutes. My other friends both had the Cheese & Onion Pie with chips & peas. One loved it the other said that there was no onion taste & it was all cheese & it only came with pastry on the top.

    Bit pricey, the food you pay for is usually definitely worth it but this time was disappointed with the royal burger, looked a sad burger one onion ring, no stick to hold it together as there wasn't much in to be held together. For nearly £20 the royal burger should be ...well royal

    Excellent Sunday Roast . Service great Only downside was the noise from nearby table but not much can be done about that!
